How authentic does it need to be? You can probably get a CRT TV or VGA monitor cheaper than you can a good arcade monitor. Otherwise when you buy a cab make sure the screen is bright and free of burn-in.
Does your old SF2 machine have a working monitor already? If yes you need to buy the following:
- Scart to Jamma Adapter sold here http://www.lizardlick.com/SCART-to-JAMMA-Adapter_p_633.html
- Scart 360 cable
- 2 xbox 360 PCB hacked
Are you planning to keep it american or japanese? If american you’re done, if you want to go japanese route do this: - You will need to dremel the button holes to 30mm as Happ buttons i believe are only 28 mm…
- The only jap controller that will fit is a Sanwa JLW, you can probably put other Jap sticks but that will probably require some welding. You would be better off having a custom control panel.
Now if you dont have a monitor, follow Kyle’s advice. Just look for a cheap CRT TV or VGA monitor…Then create a bezel around the monitor & your done.

Thanks guys that’s amazing! I haven’t moved yet so I haven’t even bought a cab. When I lived in Brooklyn I have a Marvel vs Capcom cab but I sold it when I moved into a smaller place. When I trick it out for 360, I’ll def keep it American style.

Yeah my 2 Evo monitors for my Kraylix slim came in today…
I began the process of clearing out my arcade room…Haha why are arcade cabs so damn heavy…Was pushing my Point Blank cab & hurt myself oweeee…Its more fun planning out the layout then actually doing it…
I also have to remove my home theater room from upstair & turn it into my soon to be son’s room…Then i have to rehookup my home theater & put it in the family room…Then of course i still have the arcade room i have to finish…Hopefully i can finish by this year…

Anybody here own a Nintendo Red Tent? Im thinking of picking one up, a local guy wants $500 for it…Not sure if that’s a good price but was told its in amazing shape. Comes w/ Excitebike & SMB. These look really cool, not sure how it will fit in my new gameroom though…

Well said, buddy. I have 4 cabs and a pinball machine and have already passed on 3 cabs, and 2 pins due to the nag factor / lack of space.
Its the lack of space for me, my asian wife actually supports my hobby…She agrees, our next house needs to have a huge basement…
Anybody got regrets buying arcade cabs? I have 4 cabs i want to get rid of or not happy with.
1- Converted Neo-geo cab = Works fine but its not an original. I want to get 4-slot Big Red in its place
2- Point Blank 2 cab = Gun stop working & the cab is way too fucking huge. Its one of those Atari Showcase cab, i want to replace this with the original Point Blank cab, much smaller = more cabs
3- Gauntlet Dark Legacy = Bought this so 4 people can play, but its really not getting much action at all. Im thinking of gutting & sell the parts. Or if possible just sell it off…Might replace this & put a 4-player mame cab in its place.
4- Astro City Cab - Has huge burn in of Tetris on it, damn you Kingsley…It gets annoying seeing that everyday…Want to replace this with a Naomi standup, Egret2, or New Net City…
Im contemplating in getting a Nintendo red tent or Player choice…Not sure which one to go for my next cab.,.,

With the door/wall torn down, i can now fit 2 more candy, Gauntlet Legend, & Neo-Geo
