The Official Post your Arcade Cabinet Thread!

i was thinking of recording some of the arcade games i have, do you think that should be another thread?

I have been pondering that idea as well…if you do make a new thread about it, then I will upload some more videos there as well!

I’d say post them here, but it’s up to you guys.

I would love to see that street fighter 2 pinball machine in action.

Old vid but there you go

I’d love to get one of those SF2 Pins…One Day.

wtf is this?

That cab reminds me of and old boxing arcade game. Not that bad a price if the two monitors are in working condition and the PCBs aren’t bootlegs.

Ha I was right!
Man the fun I had playing this at Max Sportsters in San Rafael!

My refurbished custom art naomi universal:) hyperspin mame;D

Nice! you got it!

@P-Nut Great looking cab, just one question, why did you paint the monitor bezel white? Just asking because the original gray colour matches the silver/aluminium colour of the legs.

All white like that kinda reminds my of a VMU.:wtf:

Stickers kept showing after they were removed. I like the modern look to it:P can always decide to go more to its roots and spraypaint it grey

I had some sticker residue on mine too, used a mixture of rubbing alcohol and eucalyptus oil to remove it. I think dark coloured bezels, like black and dark grey gives the illusion of a larger screen. Probably thats why a lot of television sets have this colour scheme…:smokin:

Here’s a pic of my temporary game room till we find a house to buy next year. I have a few more in the garage like a upright crazy taxi, landing high Japan, and MK4.

Hoping I enjoy Ultimate a bit more. Got a really nice AE Marquee coming in from Gameongraphics soon. Also, Sean @ MCS is back up and running (Thank God)

I <3 this thread. I just reread thru the entire thread for the 2nd time in a month and now I’m finally posting.
I’m in complete awe of everyone’s cabs as many of you have put incredible work and love into them…

My first cab-
MAME
Running custom MALA layout with games list slimmed to roughly 400.
I built with a buddy onto a half destroyed 1984 Kung-Fu Master with no CP
iL Euro sticks and iL competition pushbuttons in Madcatz TE button layout with a 24inch 1080p Hanns-G LCD.
It’s not as uneven as it looks in the picture.

Marvel VS Capcom 1** **** **
Will be putting in iL Eurojoysticks and competition buttons in RGB format and adding movelist decals soon.

Spiderman in Dynamo
iL Euro sticks and traditional Happ buttons.
Had replaced Tmolding, did McFarlane SpideyVsVenom comic art underneath
Since then I’ve traded the PCB to SRK user ā€œundamnedā€ for a MvSF (J) board and will convert this cab to a stock MvSF Dynamo.

Big [S]Blue[/S] Black
It had already been painted black and had a SFIICE control panel and bezel with an Alpha 1 marquee and Alpha3 board.

Rewired

Now it’s got SFIICEHF in it. I still have to put competition pushbuttons in it with RGB format and get the marquee.

NFL Blitz
Originally bought without a monitor.
Also picked up a 2nd Blitz cabinet with no PCB on the cheap so I could use the original 2 player CP on this cab and make a 4 player MAME with the other cab and Blitz99 CP.

Picked monitor up but need to mount which will be a bitch.

Blast City #1
Took the side art Blast City logos off because they were too torn up.
Still not done revitalizing and there’s a LOT to do.

As much as I’d like to revitalize it to stock, I think the original Blast City CP art was fugly. The graphic I have shown was a test based on the stick design my gaming crew has on our TEs used at events and conventions examples seen HERE and HERE.

This is my current example on how I decided to redo it as I thought it looked way too bland. I’ll likely do the Blast City #2 CP artwork the same style but for MvC1.

Blast City #2
Just picked it up less than a week ago and started cleaning

Taito Cab
Held SFIICEHF which I put into the ā€œBig Blue painted Blackā€ shown above in an old Taito cabinet.
They had drilled 3 extra holes for kicks in awkward placement.
Cab is going to a buddy who will revitalize it while I got the marquee and PCB.

Vs Hogans Alley
Surprisingly nice condition Nintendo VS cab.
Non working gun (shouldn’t be hard to fix)
This will probably go to Ed from Arcade in a Box as I know he wants another Vs cab.

That’s where I got my two Blast City cabs from. Lots of work ahead, but I find it fun!

I know you already got it taken care of, but for future reference there’s a trick to get into the CP I found on Arcade Otaku forums-
http://www.forum.arcadeotaku.com/viewtopic.php?p=208671
I wish I would have seen that before destroying the lock on my first Blast City. :frowning:

I’ll try to keep posted with my work. I have a lot of it to do.

Man, My bass fishing cab was dirty, but SWEET JEBUS yours is filthy!

My ham hand wouldn’t fit into the cab to get the lock off. I found a key, so it’s straight.

Soon I will make another contribution. Im embarking on a "never endingĀ· ride to build a mini ā€œdedicatedā€ cab for TMNT TF for Snes. Planning to have it like the wagon the Ninja Turtles used on the cartoon, the control panel, obviously, fully green shelled and with the sanwa sticks and buttons.

Wish me luck, If I make any progress I will post it here or on a new thread.
