hmmm…should be already pre-daisy chained already if you could play normal jamma games on the cabinet, but yes, the fire buttons will have to be daisy chained so it is common ground with the directional switches.
I got it working or should i say it has been working. I hooked up my PS2 to my machine & works perfect…I tried my xbox again & for some reason the dashboard wont recognize the fire buttons. I ended up changing my dashboard & now it works…Weird…Thanks for the help, i got one of the Astro’s cleaned up today, i also made it vertical, my first vertical cab…I’ll post up pics later

Those are forum attachments from TYM, off course they wont show. Use a proper imagehost instead (or attach them here).

A question for the group: is there a preferred or somewhat common cleaning solution for candy cab frames and/or monitor? How about something for a standard Sega-style control panel (not a knockoff)? I’m looking to get rid of some ancient goop and make it shine in general. Figured I’d ask to see what others are using before I potentially waste time/effort/money.
Man it was a pain removing those super gorilla glued buttons…Now the colors buttons dont look so bad…

Holy crap, I haven’t been to this site in a while I guess… I will be posting a pic of my blast city once I get this bad boy, with the cp instruction strip and hopefully he’ll do a custom cpo similar to the one on his site, but for an 2L12B…
Love your vert Astro man, that’s sick. I also broke down my Blast and used Magic Eraser on the whole thing- I think that’s the best solution I’ve ever seen…really did wonders. It’s an old machine so I couldn’t get it perfectly new looking, but was 100x better than when I first got it

still needs more work. Need to recrimp the wires to the lamp, and lamp my 360. Also I need to put a new florescent in.

btw, gotta give shouts out to Ken @ thegameroom for hooking me up with this bad boy at a great price. Didn’t have any second player controls and he hooked that all up also put in the sega 001 jamma harness. He made sure it can play pretty much anything, cps2, naomi, any jvs system (i’d still need the capcom i/o board), and all he charged me for was the buttons.
Right now this room is the arcade, gym, and office in that order Trying to move to a bigger place currently so I can hook up a REAL arcade room and get some more cabs in there like some of you guys’ sick setups.
Blast City looks sexy but its way to big but damn i love those marquees so much…
yeah, the blast is on the big side for a candy, but I love the features…get those nice side speakers, tri-sync monitor etc. I have a mame box, various arcade pcb’s and the 360 and it can do everything at native rez without a problem so that’s cool. TBH switching between them is a pain though, so I either need to set up some kind of switching system, oooor… just get another cab. And who can resist another cab Next time around it will probably be an astro.
Funny thing is, even though it’s big for a candy, my first cab was a big blue. That thing was a monster and a bitch to move around… so when I got the blast it felt tiny and light as a feather by comparison haha.
