Actually thunder is in Iccirus city! It costs 70,000 pokedollars at the pokemart. Save your money up! Joltick can’t learn thunder, you have to evolve.
Darmanitan is broke as shit, I agree. Darumaka is balanced by the fact his accuracy suffers. Darmanitan just comes out swinging and fucking shit up. I replaced my Darmanitan with Chandelure though because I liked him better. Litwick is a bitch to raise, but the end result is so worth it. Darmanitan is totally worth keeping the whole game; I just wanted the ghost/fire thing badly.
By the way guys, DO NOT SELL YOUR NUGGETS, STAR PIECES, OR ANY OTHER MINERAL THAT IS SOLD AT A HIGH PRICE THE MOMENT YOU GET THEM! There is an old man in the Pokemon center of Iccirus city that will pay double what they are worth. This is a spoiler… I know. But you want to know this.
I dunno about the second question but I heard DSi’s supporting WPA for B/W
Darumaka looks pretty neat, but I didn’t catch one because I had that fire monkey from waaay back. Look at that atk base though, that alone is the reason I want one. I raped Elesa with Excadrill, STAB EQs ftw.
So far, like I said, nothing has really challenged me in this game yet.
That fire monkey sucks ass. I replaced the fire monkey with Darumaka my damn self. The monkeys suck so fucking much until level 22. Too bad mine didn’t make it there. I raped Burgh with Darumaka. Even Fire Fang was powerful enough to have him beg for mercy thanks to hustle.
Your Excadrill had EQ by Elesa’s gym? That’s a lot of grinding and that’s assuming you stopped Drilbur from evolving for it to learn it earlier. If you really did go to 36 I applaud your patience.
I took a break from the post game madness and I am mass breeding Zorua’s with Extrasensory and Dark Pulse.
I learned EQ with it early, EQ is still one of the best moves in the game and for the sake of just 2 levels I had to get it. EQ/Rock Slide combinations are too good, nothing really resist both well ingame.
Yeah, I think Imma drop the fire monkey. He’s ok, but that’s the problem, he’s so…okay lol. He doesn’t really stand out for long term usage. Once you use that Fire Stone on him, it’s nothing but TMs/HMs if you want him to learn something. Plus I got a shitty one that’s quiet nature
I said I’d try not to care about natures and all that crap ingame, but the perfectionist in me wants my pokemon at their fullest potential. It’s probably why I haven’t been felt challenged yet, all my pokemon have good movesets/right natures for the most part.
I might restart my Black File. I started with Tepig but I want to give snivy a whirl. Probably trade all my important items (exp share, left overs, masterball etc) and pokemon over to my girlfriends file so I can just transfer them back. But i pretty much want to rebuild me team and go about shit differently.
My fire monkey sucked too. He had an impish nature. In game I care about natures but I don’t go for one specific nature. I wound up settling for a Lonely Drilbur when it was the first one I caught. Lonely still gave me an attack boost and the defense drop didn’t matter because I was killing people before I got touched. I usually want the best nature, but I also give myself back up natures because I really don’t wanna be there all day.
OMG, you guys were not kidding about the brokenness that is Daramitan… That thing is BEAST. Between it, and Excadrill, ingame is laughably easy. When I went through the game first time, I purposely avoided using those guys because they looked so damn overpowering… guess I was right, lol.
The monkeys are just so, so average. Good, not great, and just so bland. I know early game pokes usually suck, and I guess 4th Gen kinda spoiled me with stuff like Staraptor and Luxray. I’m trying to decide on a Flying type… I like Woobat, but I was already planning on using the Cell Pokemon psychic-type, and I can’t get the awesome Eagle-thing until WAY late in the game. I don’t like that pigeon, and I’ll be damned if I’m using that friggin’ swan. Guess I’ll be using Woobat, until I can catch a Rufflet… darn.
Get the Fossil Bird, his ability means jack shit when you can use potions. Archen (the first form) has base 112 attack! Archeops has base 140! When I saw that I told myself “at least it isn’t truant or slow start”.
glad I wasn’t the only one. I could have sworn I connected to McWifi before, but this morning it wouldn’t connect at all (even though it saw the hotspot and it was full bars).
I’ve been working a lot so I haven’t been able to play that much. and the time I was able to play I’ve spent starting new games and trading myself starters and the elemental monkeys (not that I need them, but whatever cuz you get them free right before you’re able to even do a trade). I just need to start 2 more new games so I can trade my friend some starters, she’s gonna hook me up with a gamestop Celebi, and I can finally start going through the game.
Actually, you really don’t need HMs to progress through the main game, although if you want items/side quests/legendaries you’ll need Strength,Cut,Surf, and maybe Rock Smash. The duckling can learn Fly/Surf/Waterfall and the early rodent can do Strength/Cut/Rock Smash/Flash(?) That should be all you need to get them. Most stuff/areas won’t fully open up until you beat the game once and unlock the post-game content.
anyway…so i take it there’s no conkeldurr fans in here? gonna try him out since i already had a mienshao on my japanese run. 105/140/95 is nothing to play with :wow:
I’m going to use Conkeldurr on my Black run. I like his stats too. I’m going to run that close combat Growlithe in black for the hell of it.
Btw, I didn’t get started on your egg. I’ll do it after I finish leveling up my vulpix to 51. I’m going to have it learn extrasensory, evolve into ninetales and mass breed Zorua with dark pulse and extrasensory. Thank god for gen iv transferring. With the level 55 Audinos it shouldn’t take long at all.
Do you care about the nature for your rufflet?
What’s better for Conkeldurr? Guts or sheer force?Something tells me it’s guts.
