Stealth Rock should never exist again. But I digress, the neutrality to Rock and Grass is what sounds nice, and STAB EQ.
I’m not referring to a sharp increase in ATK, just a 10-15 point increase will suffice. Gyarado’s prowess lies in the fact that it can boost both offenses with relative ease due to Taunt, Dragon Dance and Intimidate. So it doesn’t need an exorbitant ATK.

I think pinsir is too strong to get a straight up evolution, it needs a scyther->scizor where it’s EVO is more different than better. Pinsir is very strong, very high defense and decent speed and has a good move pool, just giving it an evolution that makes it straight up better would be too much IMO.
Stealth rock is hella dumb. All it did well was keep stuff like salamence in check while making other pokemon who would be completely viable completely unplayable. Now that salamence is ubers anyway(which I don’t agree with) there’s no reason to keep stealth rock around. Of course they aren’t going to REMOVE moves, so it’s probably here forever.
A luvdisc evolution?.. hmmm… interesting choice.
At laast they arent adding in Stage 4 evolutions.

Scyther’s only big drawback is its typing, not stats. It was very much a threat (not overpowering but could sweep) in the previous generations until the advent of of that disgusting move… you know which one.
I’m sure if Scizor didn’t exist, not a lot of people would be requesting a second evo for Scyther, simply because he was already established. A Pinsir evo has been on players’ mind for years now, back when Gamefaqs was the only major site discussing competitive battling. (sadly)
If Pinsir were to receive an evo, it should only be to change his typing, minimal base stat increase (like by 20) and slightly better move pool.
Moreso Eletric over Grass, because Bug had already resist grass before though I’m sure Pinsir would love to trade that for resisting Tbolt altogether. Not to mention SS, which I don’t see them removing or taking out. The Ground type really shines when paired together with another certain typing.
There’s actually a lot of pokemon with a base of 125 atk strangely, if we add say 15 more points then it would become quite the dragonite/metagross-isk. Pinsir in the same sentence as those pokemon would be dope, just not realisitic. It’s 65 HP base is just laughable, I’d rather have those 15 points going there than anymore atk.
I’m not really holding my breath anyway. I mean if they aren’t gonna fix Flareon by giving him one simple fucking move (and we all know what it is), not gonna hold my hopes high with pins.

Yeah I do agree he needed more HP, but I would like him to at least have Machamp level of ATK so he do work even w/o stat modifiers.
He’d probabaly be the first of all pokemon to get one anyways. Stage 4’s would just be too much IMO.
