Due to the prevalence of Fighting moves and the offense and defensive strengths of the fighting type I think Normal is as normal as it needs to be.
Water and Dragon sure as hell aren’t though.
It would be so incredible if Poison > Water, so many Poison types an moves would have use now.

how are psychic attacks SE against poison? if the pokemon itself is poison its not like psychic can use poison against itself…

If there was any type I would make poison be SE against it would be fighting.
but honestly I haven’t had too much trouble with sludge bomb whenever I’ve used it.
is just that steel type defense fucks so many other not so good types turning them into garbage. Grass and poison get even more useless. I woulda buffed rock type instead of introducing a new type resistant to 8 types and just weak against 2.
Steel is weak against 3 but most of the good ones are weak against 2 out of 3 anyways.
I think Steel was necessary solely because Dragon is an overpowered type, so instead of changing Dragon’s properties, they made it the sole resistor. I think Ice should resist Dragon but hey… GF sucks at balance.

The increase in Dragon moves made it necessary for the steel type. GF had looked into Dragon Rage being the ONLY dragon type move in R/B. And oddly enough it took a set amount of damage at 40, which made it even more weirder. In G2, GF introduced more moves like outrage and twister, but by then they were considered special atking moves. And we all know most dragons in pokemon don’t specialize in special atking traits.
I think in the end people just wanted something unique, since the obvious rock/ground combination was pretty much horrid.

Salamence is getting some nice toys to play with. Shit he can even better than Uber Garchomp at this point. He’s gonna remind a lot of people on it’s like to face Rayquaza after a DD, it trust me you don’t wanna know how that’ll turn out most times.
Thunderpunching Breloom…if it wasn’t annoying enough. That Gyarados switch in could get even more pwnage.

Well, the stab is always a reason. :lol: I think you milk a bit more Special Atk from Moltres than Zapdos but I’m not a fan of Fire/Flying typing.
Flare Blitz is the ONLY option for Flareon, I’m still ashamed it can’t learn it.
Thunderpunch on breloom is really hard to fit into the standard moveset, so won’t affect too much.
Cressy is better than blissey if you only want 1 wall, and shitty recovery. CM sets are gonna love that though.

I thought about that but more people could have problems with Gyarados since it gets better every version now (used to be every generation). I think it’d be for the people who just can’t counter him, or have had bad luck by doing so in the past.
