It seems like they’re cramming a lot of new features in the game (minigames, battle frontier, new Pokemon formes). I’m definitely going to buy it even if the metagame remains stagant.
The game needs more Rapid Spinners for sure.

There’s nothing wrong with it really. What white shadow is (rightfully) concerned with is that with two new entry hazards, Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock, it’s almost imperative to have a Pokemon with Rapid Spin. With that being said, there are only 12 evolutionary families that learn the move and none of them are fourth generation Pokemon! The only decent rapid spinners are Hitmontop, Hitmonlee, Starmie, Claydol, Forretress, and Donphan. e.g. If I want to use Ninjask, Charizard, or Articuno, I’m packing a rapid spinner to blow away Stealth Rock otherwise they’re taking 50% damage upon entry for being 4x weak to Rock.
Then there’s Garchomp. With it’s high Attack and Speed scores and Sandsorm ever so prevalent, it can tear through teams if you’re not prepared. I posted a link sometime back where Smogon was testing a Garchomp ban. I hope it isn’t banned and even if it is, I’ll still use it in OU battles.

I wouldn’t say so, but it depends on how you look at it. Nowadays people are either on Shoddy testing or just Pokesav’ing everything, there’s just not enough time to be breeding those eggs anymore for a competitive team involving the perfect balance. There are constant changes in the D/P tiers that one day something will be allowed, then the following week it would get banned.
The D/P metagame has definitely opened up more from its early stages. More UU are getting recognized with whatever little potential they have…then some OU who arguably have a lot of characteristics gets the boot. More UU matches should be ran for more testing, I was able to mini sweep Allan because he had no counter for wonder guard shedinja. Then again, he was able to mini sweep me with Drifblim a while back. The metagame used to feature at least one Garchomp or Salamence on every team, you don’t see that as often anymore.
lmao best part that Shedinja match was I had 4 Pokemon too.
I completely agree that more UU testing needs to be done. Some favourite Pokemon of mine Drapion, Hitmonlee/top and Drifblim (I love that thing :bgrin:) can do quite a number if played correctly.
Speaking of UU battles, who wants to have some?

hey I loved shaymin since I got it. don’t blame me for gamefreaks thought process in making it more stronger.

I need some new themes for teams, I can never make a team without a theme, I don’t know why.
I just made another Baton Pass team, a faster version instead of my normal bulky one. Then I made a Cynthia themed team, so I hope Chomp doesn’t get banned, I need him for the team. D:
How about Pokemon that are the same colour or start with the same letter? There’s always the obligatory “Eeveelution” themed team in case you haven’t made one yet. I made a themed team yesterday. I’d tell you what it is, but I want to battle against people with this team first. 
I want to do an Eveelution team, but I’m not sure if I can really even kill anything, because I’m probs going to be trying to kill with Leafeons nice attack stat, or with Jolteon, but I’m not sure about anything else.
Maybe an Ash AG team.
Don’t forget Espeon and Glaceon both have a sexy 130 Special Attack stat.
Glaceon needs scarf, so I’m going I’d use Espeon over Glaceon. I’d use Leafeon for sure, because I heart Leafeon.

are the ones I’m thinking off right now, I haven’t looked at resistances or anything yet, just the ones that I like, so all the ones that went to see Arceus asking to be somewhat useful.
I’d leave Flareon of the mix too. Crappy typing + very shitty movepool = no thanks. :rolleyes:
