Loving Dragon Age II. not seeing why all the hate tbh. Battle System is soooo much better.
The equipment restrictions are kinda bs. But I don’t really care.
A game can be complete shit in every aspect to me but if it has a great battle system I’ll still play it.
it has a “controversy scene” where a VA depicts a black character eating out of a trash can and sounds like she’s stuck in the 1800’s but the game is like in 2027. Once you either get over, or ignore that part, visually the game is superb. I suggest you search for the thread in GD to get better incite on the game.
that’s what A LOT of gamers said too. It wasn’t on RE5’s level but yea, just something for trolls to troll about, despite the fact I’m more upset with the VA than the actual scene. she wasn’t cracked out and asking him if she could suck his cyborg (or whatever he is) dick. But yea, I can’t see how the VA sleeps at night. you basically gave stupid people a reason to flame.
About Disgaea, it looks like a game I could get into and seems funny from some vids I’ve seen on YouTube. So, my question is, would I have to have played the others to understand much or is each new one separate from the other in a way? I’m sure there are characters that reappear but, if I were to get the 4th one, would it be much of a problem? Would I be confused about what’s going on or something?
Well alright then. Thanks Radiantsilvergun. I might pick up 3 first since it’s cheap and give it a try from that. Unsure if I may or may not like it so $20 for an answer can’t be bad.
the only real thing you would probably miss out is all the in jokes and having to learn the battle system from scratch. the series isn’t very story driven; its more about grinding hard. with that being said, i’m gonna sit this next one out for a while… i can’t devote the time needed to justify a purchase just yet.
I found D2s system confusing for me to get into…Was more about leveling up weapons then characters. i found the game really hard but im not good at math dependant games.
The continuity in the Disgaea universe kinda goes like this: Penguins blow shit up, and your people are evil. Now shut the fuck up and get to level 9999.
It’s not hard to learn. Just takes a bit of time to remember everything your little warriors can do.
I wouldn’t recommend Disgaea 3. Hated the shit out of that game. The main characters are trash and the storyline was not funny. It was retarded–not in a good way. I’d play the first Disgaea. Get the PSP version off of PSN if you have a PSP. If you don’t, then just save your money and skip Disgaea 3.
Item World is gdlk. I’ve spent like 200 hours in there and I don’t think I’m anywhere near close to getting all the residents I need for my gdlk stats. This is the only non-fighting game I’ve been consistently playing for the past 4 or 5 months.
If I am not able to successfully complete my Platinum gauntlet run this weekend, it’s because I either got sucked into Disgaea 1 again, or it’s because I got sucked into watching archived streams of Skullgirls gameplay/testing (that game is fucking beautiful).
You can do it with 1 character if you’re gdlk enough to grind him/her to a level with stats high enough to just steamroll the opposition. You will need a few other characters to help with the actual grinding, though. How many you’ll need depends on how strong the monster you’re trying to kill is.
