It hasn’t been pushed back that much tho, and it’s still got relevant information about it coming out. It’s not like FF VsXIII, or DNF.
And yea Shadow Hearts is pretty cool.

You said the same thing about Duke Nukem: Forever and that came out.
No actually it hasn’t. They announced it late last year and it got pushed back once to Sept.
So, would you guys say Fallout is decent (i love sandbox games, and the graphics on this series look pretty nice)? And if so, should I start at 3, or go straight to New Vegas or did one of them suck thus should be avoided?
RE: Gatling Gears:
Shockstorm is such a fucking skank.
Here I am playing ring around the rosie, grinding away, boom explosion, he’s dead. Okay, cool, next level, let me collect these gears before the “Area Cleared” screen comes up… WTF HIS ELECTRICITY COMING OFF OF HIS DEAD BODY IS LIVE?! FUUUU.
If it wasn’t such an easy fight I’d be genuinely upset.
Pozer play through Shadow Hearts, just the first 2. If you hate those also then you really just have bad taste in rpgs or something lol
Revenge Booster!!
The apparent free, open-world quality of the Fallout series intrigues me, but the gameplay in the modern ones just looks awkward and even a bit stale, imo. The animations look oddly stiff and “clunky”, as well. I’ve also heard that the last one had a lot of bugs and glitches going on.
*Of course, this is more likely just personal bias going on, at least with my opinion on how the gameplay looks. I will always prefer more fast-paced action/adventure (and always in 100% real time, of course… with at least some measure of realism regarding character reactions to injury and death. This also just reminded me of my disappointment with Sacred 2, btw… I didn’t like the way most enemies didn’t properly react to getting hit or killed… they just sand there with the damage numbers popping up until they fall over dead…nah, get the hell out of here with that. The really frustrating thing is that I loved absolutely everything else about that game.)
Fallout 3 summarised:
Can you target the opponent’s head in V.A.T.S. to an accuracy of ~90%?
Yes- Shoot head in V.A.T.S.
No- Move closer to target.
I need to buy another HDMI cord, but I read somewhere that even with all the different brands and prices, they really are the same…true?
Correct.
Firefold is another nice site with some pretty helpful staff, but monoprice has amazing prices. After you buy some $2 HDMI from Monoprice, you can walk through best buy or target and laugh at the monster cable HDMI prices. It never gets old.
edit: Also, just for your (Jack’s) reference - you only need HDMI 1.3 cables for all gaming systems (and really most devices), so you can usually save an extra buck or two by making sure you don’t buy the 1.4 versions.
This game is a prime example of something being excellent if was just Anime 1st THEN was made into a game. Judging from the 20 walkthrough vids I saw (in half-assed-Jap-to-Eng-translation some hyper British dood that reminded me a lot of my hyper, mixed-race Godbrother) was the story is not VERY strong. It’s a medium at best and it’s typical based on the way you view it. Example: Kung Fu master is brutally murder by opposing school of forbidden Kung Fu, young student finds the dying master, the master tells the student who killed him with his dying breath, young student seeks revenge, young student kicks ass till he finds the murderer, gets his revenge, movie over. Now, it wouldn’t ever be a surprise the the guy wanted revenge now would it? So, would you be surprised that Vincent would be found in an “uncompromising position” with the K©athrines in multiple locations and him trying to hide stuff from each one of them? I didn’t think so. More of a soap oprea plot with an Anime twist. I rather play a puzzle game based on Blue Seed, seriously.
My biggest gripe with the game outside the puzzles is the other aspects of the game are too redundant. It’s like the movie groundhog’s day but only your days actually progress and everything else basically repeats it’s self. There’s been people saying that the nightmares only start after you meet-n-beat CAT but really it start BEFORE you meet CAT. So, why is she even in this? (rhetorical question) I still like the game but “the Bar” part of the game slows down the momentum, IMO. I gotta solve other people’s problems too!!! I’m too busy trying to “grind on my block” than worry about these other peoples problems. it’s climb or die trying, son! Act like you know!!!
I noticed that too. I really don’t think the puzzles are hard or the game is hard, but the fucking controls make it seem that way! Most deaths in this game is caused by the damn analog. It’s not like you’re on the “ice level” yet so why is this fool “slippin” all over the place? I rather Atlus patch that, somehow, than patch the difficulty. If I can beat Bayonetta on Normal then I should be able to beat this “Vincent May Cry” on Normal.
I was just linking the page haha, I haven’t played the game so I don’t know how it plays.
Count me in with the people that wasn’t really sold on P3, but loved P4. Havn’t finished it though regrettably, I have a habit of dropping a game completely once I forget to play it for a few days.
I’m not all that interested in Catherine, but I havn’t seen much of it either.
As a puzzle game Catherin felt pretty simple, but challenging at the same time. Sure the story/sex is the selling point of the game, it seems like it is a great experiment that most likely will pay off for Atlus.
Sokath, his eyes opened!
I’m not interested in Catherine at all either, and I have seen a lot of it. I’m not interested in the puzzle aspect, and that seems to be all the gameplay. I was interested when I initially heard about it a long time ago, but as gameplay got released, got turned off.
It definitely isn’t for everyone that’s for sure. I can see it having it’s market tho. I’m curious so I’m gonna check it out. I do support companies trying new stuff.
