If you’ve had that router for 4 years, it’s about time to say goodbye. Routers only have a lifespan of about 3 or 4 years, typically. By that time, the router has lost a lot of its power and efficiency. They don’t last forever, unfortunately. You’ll start getting random disconnects frequently and your overall connection speed will drop. With some brands, like Linksys, you can get firmware updates to try and keep your router going, but it’s not a permanent fix. You might wanna look into buying a new router.
But Pozer, I like who you are today.
Persona 4 is a better game. I honestly never finished 3 because I fucked up one of the social links and it pissed me off. But just the jump from 3 to 4 show that they are willing to refine what they have-- and I enjoyed the story and all of the characters in 4.
For most people, I’d recommend waiting on a price drop for Catherine. Doesn’t seem like a game with mass appeal, and you can probably tell by looking at it if you like it.
What were the things you hated most about Persona 3?
See, people keep telling me this.
Even those who hated part 3, they’re like "dude, give 4 a chance! It fixes every issue that part 3 had!!"
But it looks sooooo much like part 3, I can’t help but rage just from watching others play the game. 3 killed me… IT KILLED ME!!!
It was just a boring, generic RPG game with a dating sim thing on the side.
Compared to how the game started off, it never had anything much to offer in the end. The idea of grinding in that game was to get involved with silly high school drama and become everyone’s bitch by saying one liners all day (sometimes nothing at all, MAKING YOU A COOL KID).
The only good thing I got out of persona 3, is that this spoof on persona 4 is funnier to me!!
I’ve had the same router for 10+ years. It’s still going strong, I’ve never had any problems. Mottorola, yeah! Electronics love me. I’ve never had any gaming console die or PC crap out on me, ever.
I’m playing inFAMOUS 2 right now, I’m enjoying it but it’s 95% the same game as the prequel with slight tweaks here and there. I’m on the 2nd island as Good Cole and I think I’m over 1/2 way through the game. I liked that it detected my saves of inFAMOUS 1 and gave me a slight boost at the beginning of the game, that was pretty sweet. After I finish my Good playthrough I’ll be playing through on Hard as Evil Cole. After that, I’ll either rent Shadows of the Damned or finish up on my Hard Corps playthrough.
i think p3 is TOO japanese for some ppl (myself included).
the whole dating sim/turn based rpg/girly dudes/robot sex toys/teenage school problems things is basically atlus going “we’re gonna try and make this game everything japanese ppl like”. in the end, its just like your typical psx turn based rpg… selecting menus, and traveling around until you get to the next menu to select. and some people like that. japan likes that.
saying its too japanese isn’t a bad thing, since that is alot of the appeal for p3. kind of like how it is for yakuza. the only reason i bought the game is (2 times, normal and fes, believe it or not) is because it had school kids shooting themselves in the head. that’s the kind of demented, shocking thing that would pull me in, but after seeing it 100000000 times and them making light of the whole “isn’t it weird that our activators kind of look like guns?” thing just took alot of the air out of it.
its good for completionists and ocd sufferers because the entire game is just lists to complete. otherwise its just another turn-based rpg without alot of charm.
P3 was hot, P4 is hot. I like P4’s main cast and fixed gameplay options, but P3’s story was too cool for school. And I’m a sucker for presentation all all fronts. dreams of that OG 3 and FES opening
I tried the Catherine demo today. Its ok.
The lack of charm is why I never finished P3 actually, but LOVED P4. That game just has totally awesome character interaction.

yeaaaaaa, I’m just gonna watch it for now. I might rent it or get it cheap in November/Black Friday.
^Atlus games never really get cheap…
If you call 40-50 dollars brand new cheap, then idk…
They stay in high demand… and is not the type of shit that bombs out and hits the bargain bin…Shrug
Gamefly, it is.
Persona 4 is one of my favorite games of all time. shrug
I liked the brief climbing puzzle parts of the Catherine demo but the anime/cartoon story part of it just wasnt for me. It looked pretty and all but that shit is just too whack for me to even understand, and judging by the demo there is a lot of story. The controls frustrated me a little bit. The analog stick for movement is pretty sensitive and I would push blocks further than I ment to or fall off when I didnt mean to. I tried the d-pad but that just seemed to slow.
I’ll pick it up if it goes on sale someday or find a cheap used copy on amazon.
If you are gonna skip persona 3 or Persona series period, only obv route to go is Nocturne or Shadow Hearts.
i actually got fes for $20, my nocturne for $30 (After the reprint) and DDS’s for $35 and $30 (1 and 2 after reprint respectively). even p4 stayed at $29.99 for a long while too. it took a few months of waiting for good prices, but it wasn’t that bad in the end.
i guess its kind of alot of money for backlog… blahhhh…
yeah, p3 has really good presentation. the two opening intros are some of the reasons why i turned on the game period. i’m an admitted style whore myself, but alot of that style goes away once you start playing the game.
Too bad it’s never coming out.
huh? what makes you say that lol
Think you mean The Last Guardian.
Cause it’s been pushed back more than…
This right here.
Good advice!
