This begs the question of how UC2 didn’t have aiming issues in it when it was released; maybe the play testers didn’t notice that there was an aiming issue when playing the game?
Mind elaborating on this?
I don’t think I have an issue with this, although using the cheats to get a specific weapon anytime during a replay is neat. I don’t feel like it’s a necessity.
Story seemed fine to me from what I’ve seen, but I’d best judge this after playing the game myself ^_^;
The story wraps itself up a bit quickly, Marlow and Talbot are never really given motivation. We don’t know what their end goal was. Also stuff about Talbot’s not explained. We also never find out what is in the Brass Urn (This doesn’t bother me honestly as it’s a common element of Adventure stories, not learning what the McGuffin really is). The very end ending is also kinda quick but this is a common thing with the UC series as a whole and I quite liked it myself.
ND said they honestly couldn’t tell the difference between the aiming in U2 and U3, probably because they were too close to the project and the gradual changes added up to something that they couldn’t tell. Outside testing would have made people go “hold up, hold up, hold up.”
The character models in those chapters are blocky, lack detail, and lack whatever shadow effects the rest of the models have in the game. Boot those up, then boot up any other chapter and the difference is immediately obvious.
The cheats thing wouldn’t be an issue if they weren’t there before. The post-game content is multiplayer, no special retarded guns, no anti-grav, no nothing that you could fiddle with in U2.
While it started out mostly ok, things at the end of the game just aren’t as cohesive. Shipyard chapter for some reason!
They admitted that they almost released the game broken. Like, during the final-final crunch they found out that the game doesn’t work on early-model PS3s (like the ram issue with Skyrim), so they had to rush back and fix that issue on like, the day before release.
i read an in depth interview with ND and they had said that they did actually make changes (in coding) to the aiming from 2 to 3 but that it was similar enough to them.
i didn’t think the aiming was bad. i thought on hard, the CPU was simply being assholes that didn’t care about their lives as they blitzed you taking bullets in the chest like champs. it felt more like guns themselves were more inaccurate, but whatever. i didn’t noticing anything before or after the change, so it is what it is.
talbot questions
[details=Spoiler]i went the entire story thinking talbot was some super human person. there is that moment when charlie is surprised after he straight up shoots talbot, and dude shows up out of nowhere and is perfectly fine. “i shot him right in the chest!”
so i felt he was some sort of immortal or something. which would be dope. it would’ve been like u2 where you had a boss fight that was actually intimidating and challenging.
so when at the end, you just punch him out like a bitch, i’m just thinking… “he’s just a guy?” what kind of bullshit is this? apparently i missed the part about him having a bullet proof vest or some shit, which is just dumb. then i just read this forum post: http://forums.gametrailers.com/thread/-more-explanations-via-amy-hen/1259543
Yea my biggest issues with UC3 revolve around Talbot.
Talbot
Spoiler
They make that dude looks like a fucking wizard. Survives a bullet to the chest, can manipulate people after poisoning them, has the agility and stamina of Drake, can disappear down dark dead end hallways an shit. Dude leaves Tarot cards an shit in peoples books…then in the end he’s just a dude? Come on man.
That Talbot thing is some ol’ bullshit. I wish I never read that.
Where are my Uncharted 2 multiplayer people? Why don’t I see you on 3 at all? Y’all were on 2 all the time, but now that 3’s out, everyone’s gone MIA except Jack_Frost and Rhio2k. What gives?
Tizoc, is there a PSN/downloadable version of Rayman Origins? Or is it only disc based?
That leaves:
Kyo, Beni, Duo Lon, Shen’s a main shonen series character but if Terry and Ryo can be bishi-fied, then so can he @_@ Ash, Saiki, K’, Ryo looks like a bishi in his team’s ending, Robert, Maxima is more Bara than bishi so…Bara sparkles?, heck Iori
Eh, so at least half the male cast~
…and then there’s days of memories (SNK developed it IIRC):
