Do you really want to get into this? REALLY get into it? We have done this to death on this forum. We can get deep into it if you want but it all comes back to the fact that game companies have an entitlement complex. They can take their entitlement complex and shove it up their ass. NO OTHER FORM OF MEDIA is trying to pull this shit. None. I don’t have to pay a book publisher 5 bucks to open a book after it’s been read by another person. I don’t have to pay paramount 10 bucks when I buy a used bluray to watch it, and I don’t have to give a cent to a music artist when I get their CD used in order to play it. Why the fuck should a game company be entitled to money because I didn’t get it from one of their approved retailers?

Like I said, people have differing opinions on the subject, and the decisions that I make help to define my overall opinion. Yours is not wrong, and I never said or even implied that.
The fact of the matter is that the concept of this is not new. Whether it be serial numbers (and taking that further, linking serial numbers to accounts), DRM, whatever. It is done to try to make a product as profitable as possible.
Personally, I think you’re going to see it more and more, and I don’t disagree with their reasoning behind it. There are tons of companies that do it right now with any sort of digital format. I understand that you seem to have this deep-seated hatred for all things digital, and not owning the things you pay for and whatever else you usually bring up, and that’s fine. Like I said, it’s your opinion, and more importantly, it’s your money. More power to you for standing up and saying “Damn the man” or whatever. I just see it from another side.
Simply put, it doesn’t affect me, but if it did, I could at least see the reasoning behind it. I’m not saying that it’s right for them (Sony, EA, Netherrealm, whoever) to rip off their customers, but people buying it second-hand are not their customers.

It won’t affect me since I buy new. If they put a big ass sticker on the games cover that says “Online Features available only with PSN Pass”, what exactly is the problem?
I have copy of WoW & DC Universe Online that I can’t play unless I get a subscription/pass, or give away. Same shit.
I’m totally fine with the PSN Pass type stuff. The way I see it, things like this will either prolong or stop the move to strictly digital software, which is exactly what I want to see happen. Besides, the only games I buy used are really old ones so it won’t affect me at all.

It’s a pretty decent racing game and with some rather good controlling on the cars. I’d like to recommend for the list on the first page ^_^;

ok I need enlightenment here, the game level design and hitbox for homefront seem more detailed and dynamic than Killzone 3 and COD. is this true or am I going mad??
