Cool. I’m liking the idea of four-play co-op. I just wonder how that’s gonna work - I assume split-screen, but that’s gotta look funky with everyone zooming in and out trying to plot their way through the levels like I did my first few times through the game.
Super Late Purchase: I barely play my PS3 these days but when I got The Sly Collection, I played that shit nonstop. I only played the second of the series before on PS2 but I liked the rest as well.

Finally got the time to finish Infamous 2 today. Thinking on starting an evil run to hold me over until Catherine comes out later the month.

It’s so hard to hop back on the PS3, though. The PSN down time led me to go back to FFXI, and that game has been perfected since I took a break a few years back. It’s SO good and SO addicting now, holy mother of holiness. It’s all I wanna play now. It’s fucked up my scheduled PS3 Platinum run sessions and my backlog-clearing sessions. Going back to the PS2 never felt SO GOOD. I’ve many times taken a break from FFXI to play Def Jam Vendetta, Tekken 5, Jak 3, Dark Cloud 2, Xenosaga 3, Gran Turismo 4, Ratchet: Deadlocked, Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Disgaea 1 and 2, Wild Arms 3, Virtua fighter 4: Evolution, Twisted Metal: Black, Way of the Samurai, Nightshade, Gungrave: Overdose, Suikoden 3, and other great games.
I still stand by my statement that PS2 is the greatest console of all time. I’m not gonna say fuck a SNES/Genesis, though. Those were amazing too, but not up to PS2 par.

dude. ps2 was the best system hands down. so much quality in that library, people don’t even know. i wish the blog was still up because that’s where i was keeping my library list.
the lifespan of the system helped alot, but the system was considered super undertapped because its programming was so complicated. but the games constantly got better, games were dominant, sony had alot of consumer confidence, and everyone was making money off of it.
its hard to imagine any console company having as much success as sony did with ps2. it did everything gaming except have halo.
I’d take Timesplitters 2 over Halo any day, personally.

Timesplitters 2 is my favorite FPS ever. It’s brilliant, and the only reason it didn’t enjoy the fame it deserved was because of the Halo hype train, and Eidos’ failure at advertising/marketing.
