GTAIV got plenty of 10s, and that game is fucking awful. I know games now are much better than the past, but some of these games get an 8 which should be excellent. That same game 10 years ago would be a 5 or 6 in EGM way back then. GTAIV even got a 10 for graphics.:shake:
The problem with these journalists is, they have backed themselves in a corner with the scoring. Everything leads up to game of the year, so they are forced to give out some scores to make the game eligible for their GOTY in December. Example, if they gave UC3 a 9, and Skyrim got a 10, they would be obligated to give Skyrim the game of the year award.
I do check the review scores, but I don’t hold to the score. They need to review every game in a vacuum.
I’m pumped for Uncharted 3.
