Khabbi saved the Oilers from being blown away. Hawks had almost 40 shots on goal compared to the Oilers 18 IIRC. He made some super fucking clutch saves. I already miss him

its a major risk for butterfly goalies too since they are getting run while being in such awkward positions.
but can you really deal with it? goalies are not protected in the NHL
post play scrums usually result in the penalizing of a couple of roughers, but rarely ever the person that starts the incident goes in the box unless its something ridiculous.
you cant even send guys to the people running the goalies cause they’ll get boxed, and possibly get that stupid ass instigator penalty.
so the only logical thing to do is to run their goalie right back.

I think Lundqvist is overrated, not as much as Turco, but still overrated.

I watch 70-80 Ranger games a year, and I have season tickets. Have you watched him play much?
Trust me when I say, as a hockey fan first and foremost, Lundqvist is no where near overrated, however I don’t feel he is underrated either.
The Rangers don’t sniff the play-offs last year without him (Bottom five in PP and GF), and they certainly get swept without him.
He is a keeper with the tools to win it all one day…I just hope it is with the Rangers.
the biggest problem with lundquist is he can get streaky. i’ve seen him get like 3 shutouts then follow that with a few disasters. but yea, there’s no way you’re not benefiting from having lundquist.
That being said…he HAS had stretches of play each year where he plays poorly. You are right on the front.
I like to watch them pretty regularly, but I’m sure you have a better analysis on him since you have season tickets. I mean, I know he’s a great goaltender, probably top 5 in the league but he just gets so much hype.
I have season tickets to the Panthers…I really wish I could sell them for even a fraction of what I paid for them lol.
