The OFFICIAL NFL 2010-11 Thread (including SRK Fantasy League)

Noone ever talks about ben rapin them women…

Every time you hear mike vick name you gotta hear about dog fighting…

If Ben was black you would never hear the end of that shit…

The fact that he still under center is disgusting…

Any word on Pouncey’s injury? That 2nd string center that came in for Pouncey had 2 costly botched exchanges. Something to keep an eye on, especially given how dominant BJ Raji is playing right now.

The media and most fans already hate his guts though. Honestly if the Bears turned around and traded him tomorrow for a 1st round pick I think Bears fans would be ecstatic.

And it wasn’t the biggest game either. The Bears have won an SB in the past, possibly a few. They appears at an SB within the last decade. It was a big game for sure, but not the biggest.

SB should be a good game. I favor the Pack a little, but it’s not that much. The Steelers D can definitely confuse Rodgers, hell the Bears D did a good enough job of that and the Steelers are better. Polamalu should also be in considerably better health as well. I didn’t think Troy was much of a factor today though.

Really? The race card? Oh wait, probably heard that on the TOcho show. Ben shouldnt have even been suspended. THERE WAS NO EVIDENCE! Wow.

Monbaby raped someone! There, now you are a rapist and GODdell will suspend you. BTW, hmmm, Ray Lewis killed people and he didnt even get suspended. But its cus Bens white…pathetic reasoning.

So you telling me THREE different women with absolutely no relation to each other from different cities, just wanted to pick on Ben Roethlisberger?..

Get real…

Ben roethlisbereger can rape women and it s cool…

Mike vick kills dog and he’s a threat to society…

I guess Dog> Women…

Ben didn’t rape anyone. Kobe’s case was much more severe and he moved on just fine.

^_-;

Kobe is a scumbag too…

First off it was only TWO woman. The first one is mentally incompetent and basically everyone said it and she bragged about sleeping with him. The second one in GA, with no proof, when that night she didn’t say anything…wearing a “Down To Fuck” pin? Small hicktown in GA? Try to get some cash? Yeah, Ill believe her.

Mike Vick…killed dogs. That WAS PROVEN. Didn’t he go to jail because it was proven? There was never any evidence or convictions for Ben. So I say again…listen more to the talking heads to get higher ratings.

Lol at the dog>women, I mean, I have mad respect for women, but that comment just made me chuckle.

Anyhow, Packers to the Super Bowl, hell yeah!!! After 1997, I was thinking to myself…shit, it better not be 29 years before we make it to the promise land again (that’s the amount it took from the Lombardi Era to the Favre/Holmgren Era).

However, after kicking it at my place, we all decided, to instead go to Stadium View and watch the game…Great Choice since they had projector screens all over the damn place in there, plus great food for under $10.00 ='s WIN.

Game got me scared as hell…and once again, McCarthy keeps making some dumbass calls which still gets me to go WTF. Yeah, they don’t kill you on the Bears, however on a great team, like say the Steelers…you’ll get raped for that, period. 3rd and 1 and you have Kuhn…wtf??? 3rd and 10…and we don’t fucking blitz? Wait, before that 2nd and 20 and we don’t fucking blitz their 3rd String QB???

Then you had that spectacular “we’ll run twice” even though the entire Bears squad and that little 5 yr old kid sitting in the stand knows that its a run…please man, do a Play Action there, but nope…3 and out, and the Defense had to bail us out.

All I can say is, the Packers Defense are on fire, they only made me turn my head when a 3rd stringer QB who was playing lights out came and busted a nut. However overall the Defense played great, and I’m very pleased with them. Rodgers and Co. lacked some serious execution, and imo had they of clicked, we would of basically ran up the score.

With the Steelers winning, which btw, was my most feared team the Packers would play out of the two remaining AFC Teams, since I feel that Sanchez is inconsistent and the running game helps him out alot to cover his weaknesses. However the guy played very good in the 2nd half, so props to him, I was so hoping the Jets would have won, because I feel that the Packers match up much better against them then the Steelers.

The Steelers front 7 scare me, and the fact that Big-Ben has proven that he can score in the biggest of times makes you very worried. I am very confident of the G-Men going into Dallas, but I am also weary of the Steelers at what they can do. Consider our O-Line is only alright, and that Rodgers covers up a lot of the weaknesses involving it, however we’ll see.

All I know is, I got a chicks number there (brunette, my fave type) + the Packers winning the NFC Championship, shit can’t get any better. For the next 2 weeks terribly wrong would have to occur in order to dampen my days, all I know is, back in 97, I really believed we would go to the SB every time because we were that good back then, obviously I’ve realized you need to savor these moments.

Here’s to the Packers vs Steelers at Super Bowl 45, and may the Packers win, make it 13 Championships now G-Men, the most in NFL History!

Actually, Vick went to jail for crossing state lines. Virginia could still always press charges on dogfighting against him and put him away for a long time. Go on though.

Bears fans can’t say shit for as long as we are rivals. You’re playing at home, against your bitter divisional rival (after going all-out in trying to prevent them in the playoffs in the first place), don’t score a single point in the 1st half, your “franchise” QB straight up quits in the 2nd half, and we get to celebrate our Super Bowl berth on your shitty field. Hahahaha, I usually don’t gloat this hard, but since it’s the Bears, I’ll make an exception. The Bears had an incredibly lucky season, but when the going got tough, Cutler just got going… to the sideline.

Made good on my 2 picks today, 7/10 for the playoffs.

Green Bay offensively played well in the 1st half, but got shut down hard by the Bears defense in the 2nd half (either it was adjustments or needing a kick in the ass). Packers defense again showed why it is very good, besides the 1st TD they gave up (very poor read on Nick Collins). Bears can be a great team if they better their O-Line and their secondary a bit, but Cutler really needs to relearn how to play (from a fundamental standpoint); I think he relies too much on his arm to bail him out (which ends up costing them in the end). They have too much speed to stretch the field to not be scoring as many points as they should.

Pittsburgh really put it to the Jets in the 1st half, then the Jets seemed to pull a Chicago Bears and lay the clamps on the Steelers in the 2nd half, before Roethlisberger was able to pull out a clutch pass on the run. I understand that people are saying that the Jets will be in the hunt next season, but I’m not so sure. The Jets have a few key free agents and older players: Tomlinson (who has slowed down compared to the 1st half of the season), Jason Taylor (might give it one more year, but not the same player as he was in his prime), Kris Jenkins (he’s a beast, but will he return to his proper form after another injury?) Edwards and Holmes (they can probably only keep one of them). Who knows how the knew CBA will look like.

You need both offense and defense (and in footballs case, special teams as well). Defense is always consistent and keeps you in the game, but you need offense to put you over the edge (which doesn’t need to be great, just good enough). Even the 2000 Ravens had a great running game, but with the way the league is now, I don’t think they would be able to win without at least a decent QB.

P.S.: See Andrew! Didn’t you give up on the Packers in the middle of the season? Didn’t you say to shut down Rodgers and co. and prepare for the next season? Now look at this team, firing on all cylinders, and still very young. Never say never! congrats!

Yeah, I definitely thought we were done once Rodgers got knocked out at Detroit because no way I realistically thought he would go Goku level Super Saiyen post-concussion and rape every defense in the NFL. Glad I was wrong on that one.

And yes, we’re still a very young team with only a few, albeit important, older players. Barring injury, we’re set for the next 5-7 years at all of our most important positions. As long as Rodgers is running the show, the rest of the NFC North have their hands full.

There is the Steelers hump that Durant was laughing at.

I agree you need both, but the superb defenses of the Steelers and Packers today kept the opposing teams offenses on lock in the first half and made plays that either got or set up their teams to get the points that would ultimately win them the game. A good QB is necessary to succeed but, trust that the defense or lack of it, will kill a team even with a great offense.

Houston and to a lesser extent New Orleans are prime examples of that.

Muuuuuuuch clearer than the one I posted. Rashard’s a fooooool.

If it was a mild sprain knee injury and he goes back in the game and happens to do more damage and completely tear his knee up, losing this game would be the least of the Bears problems going into the offseason…the Bears would be set back qb wise for the next 2 to 3 years, no way in hell i want to see the Bears go thru the revolving qb door drama all over again now that we finally have qb with mobility and a strong arm in Cutler.

But it does sound like a torn ligament in his knee (just hope it doesn’t take to long for him to come back if this is the case), Cutler said in one of the articles on one of bear’s website that it was hard to throw the ball because he couldn’t plant his feet and that’s when the coaching staff pulled from the game.

I didn’t like that the Bears defense started off slow when the Packers scored those 2 quick td’s in the first half, was good to see the defense get their act together in the 2nd half. Todd Collins shouldn’t even be on the team, Hanie should have been in there instead and we would have had those 2 series back that Collins wasted to see what Hanie could have done. The pass he made to to try and tie the game was from not getting enough reps from being 3rd string and reading coverage not seeing the defender drop back like he did, Collins is pretty much good as gone that’s for sure.

Hopefully there’s a football season next year so i can see my beloved Bears in action again, it was good season compared to last year and with the offseason moves we made…The NFC North will be a strong division next year with the Bears , Packers and Lions…the Vikings are a question mark and they look to become the Lions of old in the nfc north “dweller”.

Maybe it’s because my team has had good fortune with QBs, but I just don’t understand why Bears fans are excited with Jay Cutler. He’s like Favre-lite, but with a worse demeanor and attitude. He’s mobile, but he’s incredibly inaccurate throwing on the run and often times ineffective when scrambling. He’s got a strong arm, but he’ll throw into double/triple coverage because he thinks he can laser it in. He’s terrible against blitz packages. He disappears, literally and figuratively, in big games (if Bears fans want to jizz over his 4 TDs vs. the Seahawks, be my guest I suppose). He single handedly loses games for his team with his terrible, terrible decision making. He’s inconsistent, having gone almost 1/3 of this regular season games with no TDs in a game (five games registering 0 TDs).

What exactly are Bears fans getting excited for? Like, aside from having one 4,000 yard season w/ Denver and one great performance versus a 7-9 Seahawks team. I’d seriously like to know what Bears fans are using to convince themselves that Cutler is the “man” for Chicago.

haha this is the first year on srk i’ve seen a superbowl match up that didn’t have a bunch of bandwagon dudes come out of the woodwork and post on here.

the NFL is going to fine him 10k for humping .

Although I find both the teams lame , the SB should be somewhat entertaining.

I havent looked at the line yet but this might be a Pick em SB.

Line Opened with Green Bay -1.5
