For all the defensive play, GB/PIT last season (with a lot of the same personnel on both teams) produced an 800+ yard offensive explosion with 73 points scored. Could be another shocker on Super Bowl Sunday…

What a fun day of football. As a New Yorker I was kinda rooting for the Jets, but I didn’t really care either way, since I’m a Giants fan. The game looked like the Jets were gonna get embarrassed in the first half, but man did they ever turn it around. It was a really entertaining game, I seriously lol’d at the safety. What are the odds of that happening again between these two teams?
Chicago/Green Bay was entertaining as hell too in the 4th quarter. Some kid trying to do his Willie Beamen impression was fun to watch.
Steelers/Packers Superbowl baby! I predict Pittsburgh to win it all!

well, I wish the Jets played as well in the first half as they did in the second, but at least they were able to make it a good game, and not a blowout.

At the start of this season, if you had told me the Packers would be in the Super Bowl, I would have laughed and said maybe in another season or two, what with all the injuries and the Bears beasting, but look at them now. It’s been 14 years, but they’ve finally made it back to the Super Bowl! I love to see the Pack doing well, and I really hope Aaron Rodgers and Co. can pull out a win on Super Bowl Sunday. (I’m really resisting the urge to take a shot a Favre here, but for all his Favre-ness, he did amazing things with this team)

Unless it turns out Cutler has a torn ACL/MCL, I think he’ll have this carry over his head for the rest of his career. If the MRI turns out nothing but a mild sprain/tweak-type injury, omfg I would not want to be him. Fans, players, teammates, coaches, etc will all question him for the rest of his career. Essentially bailing on your team, that you helped build a 14 point hole for, in the biggest game in franchise history?!? Yeah, career killer.
These were both well earned victories for the Steelers and Packers today. Today’s games prove once again it is defense that wins Championships.
It also is REALLY making me hate the Houston Texans right now, because their is no reason outside of not getting talent in the secondary that we should have done this badly in 2010. I am happy for the Packers and Mike Tomlin, but a brother is catching mad feelings over this which I thought I buried 2 weeks ago.
