I feel where you’re coming from, at the end of the day I can’t put myself in a Cleveland fan’s shoes. I guess I just never understood what was so much worse about seeing his decision on a live TV interview instead of finding out through a news outlet. I’m not saying Cleveland shouldn’t have been hurt that he left (I’m hurtin right now) and I understand that the execution was pretty awkward and shitty. But at the end of the day, I feel like those people chose to put their emotions about a form of entertainment above money getting raised for an organization, and I think that’s bullshit.
He signed a 2-year deal because of the new CBA coming. Lebron has the best management of any athlete I’ve ever seen. They don’t know what’s going to be the finalized state of the CBA, so they want the flexibility. I don’t see how that’s a mistake.
Seriously when it comes to Lebron, the hate gets so strong people seem to neglect the obvious explanation in favor for the slanderous one.
Fact of the matter is Wade’s knees are bad. Bosh stopped playing like the Bosh he was known to be, and the Heat couldn’t sign anyone. Say what you want, but Cleveland by far has the more talented roster even w/o Kevin Love. The fact that Ohio is home for him is simply the icing on the cake.
This has nothing to do with looking back at Ohio the second he got to Miami. That’s nonsense.
That post is another example of a salty a Heat fan conjuring up some internal Lebron conspiracy due to his emotions. He went to Miami, won 2 out of 4 chips - which probably should’ve been 3 out of 4 - and made Miami the center of the NBA universe. He opted out, studied his options and made the best decision emotionally and business wise. It is the best decision for him all-around from a competitive standpoint, marketing and his overall legacy. He no longer has to challenge Jordan for 6 rings. 1 ring in Cleveland and his legacy is set.
Like I said before, feel free to be a bit salty - it’s only natural, but Lebron gave Miami a way better goodbye and overall show of appreciation than he did Cleveland.
I’m mad at LeBron because now every two-bit cinematographer and editor are going to be creating endless oceans of video packages with that shitty ass “I’m Coming Home” song blaring all throughout… :bluu:
Heat did well even with Wade doing pretty much nothing during the playoffs. Especially because all 3 opted out, they could restructure their contracts and have some room to sign better players. Short term, I’d say staying with Heat would have been better for Lebron ring-wise. Long term, it’s obvious going to Cleveland looks more promising.
The Heat now have a really good defensive anchor with Deng.
Best LeBron defender in the East. He’s getting paid the same amount contract wise as what the Bulls offered him mid-season but lack of Florida tax means he’s getting more.
It sucks because kobe’s years are too limited to just fuck around with. I wanna say we get good in 2 years but by then it’ll be too late. Clippers are gonna be stuck in that 2nd round playoffs next season.
