Man, did the lakers really shop Pau for years and years only to have him just leave for nothing? Less money on an Eastern Conference team that isn’t a real contender?
Dark times in Lakerland. I almost feel sorry for them. Gonna be a struggle to rebuild now, especially with 48.5 looming over their heads.
Dolphins have had winning records only twice in the past 10 years. They don’t care about winning. They have a decrepit stadium from 1987 and abysmal management. They look for any excuse to save money and not put a decent product on the field. They were great in the 70s, and they had a great 15 year run with Marino and a defense full of pro bowlers in the early 2000s. Ever since then, they haven’t cared. And their excuse was “it doesn’t matter because this is a football town so we’ll make our money regardless.” They stuck by that idea for the past decade. And then when the Heat turned this into a b-ball mecca, they started feeling extra salty.
Likewise, people fucking hate Jeffrey Loria and boycott the Marlins. The guy is a cheapskate, builds contenders then breaks them up at the drop of a dime. He’s the Donald Sterling of MLB, says all kinds of racist shit behind the scenes.
Hurricanes and Heat are the best things to happen to this town. Heat have been a tragic franchise until recently… had more losses than wins up until just last year. Zo’s kidney disease set franchise back several years in 2001. Didn’t get another chance until 2005 with Shaq and Wade. Knicks/Bulls destroyed Heat’s dreams in late 90s.
The lakers are making some really really bad moves this off season. Minus Randal and re signing of Hill, they really fucked up. I can see laker fans going to the dark side of la…the clippers.
48.5 really isn’t as bad as it seems every move that Dallas made this off-season to stay competitive we could have made but we didn’t. Bosh’s contract for this season is only about 500K- 1M less than what Kobe’s making but the Heat are trying to make substantial moves instead of waiting for the big fish. But then again it is the East.
*Remember when I said that I really liked the Wizards chances and that all they are missing is a few pieces? This is a great move in the right direction for them, great pickup. Great destination for the Truth too, he can be a pure shooter on the court and a great presence for a young Wiz team off the court.
man, the knicks are going to be 2x better than last year, yea, felton was that bad. just removing felton was that good. only thing im worried about is jr smith, he needs to…go on somewhere. 6th man of the year fraud who had no right winning it that year over people like jamal crawford…
Made the mistake of reading this on my phone while I wasn’t logged in. On top of having all of the worst qualities in the world, you’re also racist. Holy shit. You’re the worst.
LeBron Jame’s SI article: “If I had to do it all over again, I’d obviously do things differently, but I’d still have left.”
I’m pretty sure he’s talking about the way he left (The Decision). Even then, I hope he doesn’t actually regret that. Millions of dollars were raised for a charitable organization, but it’s this big travesty because a bunch of losers got their feelings hurt over their favorite player leaving their fucking sports team? Like my man Riles would say, get a grip.
You sound a tad bit ignorant
Its been Water under the bridge but a simple " yo thank y’all for supporting me but I’m going to Miami" and a little bit of a advance notice would’ve been nice
Yeah he raised money but everyone who’s not being ass understands there was a different way to approach it
It would be nice for the cavs to be over .500 to have a chance to make a run at the playoffs
The Lakers are looking long term, Lin and Nash are off the books next year freeing up almost $18 mil cap room. They got a pick from Houston, and it will more than likely be a late first rounder but talent can be found late in the draft. The gave up virtually no assets to gain Houston’s pick and Jeremy Lin.
Letting Gasol walk for nothing blows, but I think it was pretty much made clear he wasn’t coming back. They’ve done the right thing but not tying up money on second tier free agents long term, well outside Nick Young who can give the Lakers a legit 6th man. I wish they signed Bazemore though, he seemed to have a lot of upside.
There’s still some positions/roles to fill, and I’m not sure how Kobe feels about the moves being made right now because they clearly aren’t moves suggesting playoff contention.
