If the Cavs get to keep Wiggins and still add Love… oh boy that shit’s gonna be nasty. The reason that a lot of young talent doesn’t develop is due to a lack of veteran leadership. LeBron brings that. Without him I wouldn’t be too high on Wiggins’ future… now I think he’ll turn it decent. Certainly as a semi-capable sidekick for Bron… and who knows, maybe he can get Kyrie to play some damn defense.
The biggest question mark for the Cavs is their coach.
LBJ bringing his leadership and championship pedigree is exactly what a young, talented Cavs team needs. There’s no doubt that they can play, but immaturity massively hurt them last season.
The Hawks, Bobcats and Raptors are pretenders. Do not allow pretty good playoff showing convince you otherwise. They weren’t in the title conversation in the playoffs and they aren’t now. If Melo doesn’t go to Chicago, the only trivial threat would be Washington. Everyone else gets rolled.
Better not see any Cavs fans suddenly appear in the thread when there have been none spotted the last few years here and no names are listed as a Cavs fan in the OP.
Any Eastern team with LBJ is a fave to win the conference but I can’t see them winning more than 52-54 games or so. If they do manage to get KLove then things will obviously change. I actually want the trade to happen, if Minny gets Wiggins… he’s leaving for Toronto in 5 years!
Raptors will win 50+ games next season. They re-signed all their key free agents at reasonable contracts and improved their bench.
Those are bandwagon fans that got enamored with success and let it cloud their minds, just like it does to Laker fans whenever they build a contending team.
First off, I’m pissed that there are people literally burning #6 jerseys here. I’m also pissed somebody did this:
That fucking thing took 2 years to make.
These “fans” are acting like spoiled little ho ass bitches. The same reasons why I hate Laker fans so much. These “fans” are also newbies, they haven’t been around the block like me since the 90s and know how many times the organization flips into title contenders. We basically have the cap to sign another Big 3, or at least a really good team built around two good players. But nobody is focused on that here right now. They’re crying like babies.
Anyway, the “Heat Index” on ESPN can die now. The Hollywood atmosphere can vanish. The bandwagons can jump off a bridge. The real Heat fans are locked on what the team spends their money on.
No disrespect Geo, but I’m not got take your opinion on what a real Heat fan is until I hear from some real Heat fans talk like Vicious Slash and Ckrazy.
This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:
Now if you’ll excuse me, I have an old Zydeunas Iilgaulskaus (when you’re a real cavs fan like me, you don’t have to know how to spell his name) jersey to dust off.
First off thank GOD Wade doesn’t wanna come here. Rose is the same height and has his own knee problems, I don’t wanna pay the max for Wade to handy cap us for years. Let him stay in Miami and cheat on his wife Gabby in peace. He’s earned it.
Sucks for the real Heat fans today, seeing someone defile that mural pissed ME off and I’m not where near a Heat fan. Seriously they had the opportunity to rove everything people said about them wrong by handling this with class and respect for THEMSELVES but now they are gonna get clowned EVEN WORSE and everyone is gonna use this as an proof that there are no true Heat fans and only faggy bandwagoners.
Still think a Bulls team with either Love who liked the idea of being traded to Chicago or Melo would have to be the favs to win the East. I’m actually surprised Lebron left Miami but I can’t help but love the idea of a Bulls and Cavs rivalry being reunited. Next season will be so exciting! Hope Love doesn’t go to Cleavland tho.
I really don’t know how to feel about Bosh taking a 5 year, $118 mill deal. Unless he’s gonna be a 20-10 guy again, we were better off letting him go to Houston and keeping that money. Obviously he’ll probably the #1 option now, but… I’m still iffy.
I would feel a lot better knowing Monroe or somebody else already received a call.
James Jones, Mike Miller and Ray Allen all linked to Cavs now to join LeBron.
Realistically Heat weren’t a good contending team if LeBron wasn’t on the roster. Now it’s time to retool team and make them that without him.
Even if we don’t get a big FA, we still needed to get Asik and Lin off the books. Retaining Parsons or working out a sign and trade is the priority now.
Steve A Smith is full of shit no one should believe what he says, that dude has flipped flop so much about where Lebron is going that you could swear he was running for president.
