I spent 20k 3 times and unlocked 3 characters, mods, and a couple weapons. I never touched the 5k carepackages.
edit: I hate unlocking handguns.
I know. But still. I’ve never liked online co-op when it comes to anything. Or online play in general.
Especially when I know great games get bad reviews because of Lack of online/lack of co-op or shoddy online experiences. It shouldn’t matter.

I have got more characters from the 5k one then the 20k one. You need to use both imo, the 5k ones have what you need to get more points in battle quickly. I also got my Widow from a 5k package. Kill Guardians through their shield, yes please.
Well, yeah, but I’ve found my Incinerate curves around it, Combat Drone shoots through it, and well…Pull is probably the most effective at taking it away.

Melee vanguard is the shit. I walk around with just the Mattock with an +87% power recharge. I’m not high leveled, so I don’t even have max shield regen or Melee damage bonuses but it’s seriously fun if you like offensive playstyles. If you are at a barrier deficit, just throw out a charge to gain it back and you’ll be able to charge in really fast again. Even the shielded enemies that throw grenades die pretty fast to charge and BIOTIC ARM. My group was waiting for the extraction and the atlas was coming at us and I kept circling and charging at it to basically keep it distracted.

Vanguard is nice and cheap lol. When you finally get the skills then you’ll realize how great they work together.
The shitty part is that non of this carries over to the full game.
I want there to be some sort of competitive mp. Think Gears of War, minus the hulking dudebros.

You are rushing down to much with Adept. Adept is a support class like Engineer. You want to be behind the Vanguards but ahead of the Infiltrators. Adepts are actually more helpful on higher difficulties when everyone has a shield/barrier/ You just can’t rush in and expect results.
GGs tonight with Reth, Weeks and Pun. Me and Reth did a Gold run on the last game and we got to round 4 with 2 us. Should have done better but I was playing like ass. Gold doesn’t fuck around, there was an Atlas by Wave 2. We could have done it with Rottona there though I agree with that and definitely could have done it with him and Weeks/Pun.
Also Reth was playing Infiltrator which is great for revives. You can just Stealth and get the revive even with the enemy around you. I was doing that shit when I played Infiltrator, you can also go stealth and grab objectives and the enemy usually will not shot at you. Phantoms are the exception, they do not give a shit about Stealth, Barriers, Armor, nothing. They can also 1HK you, you do not even get to go down just straight to dead. I would almost rather fight an Atlas then a Phantom.
BTW Reth I propose if we have at least 3 people we run Gold from now on so we can figure out the best ways of beating it.
If you do not enjoy Adept though Weeks do not do it. It is all about if you are having fun. I am just trying out different classes to see how they all work and see what I like playing.
Reth is godlike with those Headshots with the Semi Auto Sniper as well.
