The Official Mass Effect 3 Thread: True Ending only 1600 MS Points

How do you buy a Kinect on accident…

Tried the demo yesterday, and the combat already feels way better than ME2’s. It’s far more direct, plus Biotics and shotguns are a lot more powerful now. It will make playing a Vanguard that much more fun.

What the fuck was up with that Guido douche in the beginning? This ain’t Jersey Shore. Also fuck that little kid too. Good Riddance.

The better combat will make this worth playing now even if the story ends up being lame, which is a strong possibility at this point.

I took too long to remove the tumor from my brain.

I actually hope Shepard doesn’t die just to break the mold, all the stories like this have become really cliche lately with the lead almost always dieing.

I havent even played mass effect. But I gonna follow this thread just cause of the title.

Yeah because that’s so much more common then the pc not dying and overcoming obstacles to achieve victory over the villain right.

Lately yeah, it used to be you wanted it the other way around because he always lived. Now they ran that into the ground, they just can’t keep a medium.

What are ideal settings? Or should I just put everything to max?

A medium, huh…? What about…Shepard lives, but is paralyzed from the neck down and is a semi-vegetable?

I know I was all “I’m gonna avoid spoilers” and shit, but I’m wondering what feed back and seeing… a lot of retarded but funny feed back.
People making fun of the animations or the overall terrain of how the game looks with silly music.

Best video I’ve seen so far of all that was this:

Funny thing is, even with all the shit talk going on about this game, it still looks badass, lol.

Spoiler

Yeah, i think renegade options will just have particular events cut, as opposed to getting something unique from Paragon results. I am not banking on the idea that choices will have big impact on ME3–i mean shit, you did all this work with the ME2 people and they’re not permanent squadmates anymore anyways. I think the EDI thing was beyond lame, but we’ll see how it works out in the story. I’m a sucker for Tricia Helfer, so…

On the ps3 (not sure if this is the case on xbox), the framerate during cutscenes was fucking atrocious. I hope this is fixed, because that is such an immersion breaker. On the other hand, us ps3 users got stuck with cut side missions and also the screen tearing/sound synch glitches in ME2, so i’m not crossing my fingers.

Demo impressions:
Good:
cool sound fx
male shepard VA has improved (imo)
Wrex and Garrus
combat vastly improved
graphics are sweet
Ashley’s Herbal Essences hair
Mordin’s VA is back

Bad:
music is kinda repetitive
walk speed is ass slow
horrible framerates
opening council scene was almost laughable, no pacing or anything

Funny:
Anderson’s running animation
Little boy getting pwned by reapers
Female Krogan shooting cerberus agents (wish she was squadmate!)

I saw some snapshots taken of ME2 on PC with some mods to increase the details on the graphics and it looked outstanding @3@, far superior to what I saw on PS3…

Will be getting this when it’s on sale though, but I’ve beaten ME2 on PS3 and was mainly a Paragon (@ Lvl. 29); what bonuses would I get in ME3 from my save data of 2?

No one knows yet. Casey whateverhisname, the lead designer on ME3, says that the choices will play a greater role on changing the story.

But that’s what they said about ME1–ME2, and the changes were mostly minimal. PS3 users didn’t even notice them (because they weren’t there for them anyways), but who knows?

What i want to know is, will there be some sort of interactive comic feature like ME2, so that i can fiddle around with certain choices without having to replay ME1 and 2 again?

I see. BTW will the Paragon/Renegade choices be like in ME2? I rather liked the way it was done in it ^_^;

Ah sorry I didn’t see this reply earlier. You can use whatever settings you like, since it is easy to customize just go with whatever you think looks best and call it a day.

And yes, the hi-res ME textures mods (too bad you have to apply them with TexMod, not a big deal though) are pretty damn nice and with some tweaked settings for lighting and such the game looks fucking amazing.

Okay so I downloaded this (first one although now I’m thinking maybe manual would be better?)

The applied this setting:

I watched a youtube vid that says I have to add the FXAA files to the game file (he was talking about Skyrim and said manual download only) is that true? I thought once I download and tweak the FXAA tool it just applies it to any game I play that supports it on that pc. I also have the in game graphics settings set to max, so while ME1 looks great I don’t know if FXAA is working or not, the difference between using FXAA and not using it from the comparison videos I’ve seen aren’t that huge.

You have a link to the ME 1 n 2 texture mods?

Hmm I see, I am not using that particular FXAA tool, I am using a much older one where you modify the values manually. Let me download it, play around with it a little bit and I will get back to you.
Same with the texture mods, gotta look for them.

Going to eat lunch first though.

Thanks. Can’t wait till work is over going to play ME1 all night. Although having gained spectre status last night made me remember how much shit this and 2 have to offer it’s going to be awhile before I play 3 =/.

I’m not one who cares about the female body in games but damn they gave female Shepard a hell of a sweet ass. Gonna buy ME2 tomorrow to knock that out first.

man i was watching some footage of multiplayer and i am kinda hyped to try it out once it unlocks for everyone in the demo tomorrow

watched some guy run crazy with a god damn krogan. i’m totally gonna main krogan in multi. (or turian. whichever unlocks first.)
