I would actually love to see something similar to ME2 like everyone in the galaxy building up for a final confrontation except that this time the entire reaper fleet easily rapes everyone including Shepard and it ends with the next civilization thinking they have a chance:lol:
Does that mean it’ll take 20 missions for it to charge?
I hope ps3 users won’t get gypped again regarding Mass Effect 1 characters and side missions. That sucked. I would like to be able to interact with Shiala, Giana, Fist, etc. even if i haven’t technically met them, the interactive comic for Mass Effect 2 filled a lot of holes, but left other holes exclusively for Xbox.
Also, i really want to see Kasumi again (can you tell, haha).
i believe they have confirmed something like that. In Mass Effect 2 it was all about building your squad. In Mass Effect 3, you have to build up an army. This is done by gaining Race Loyalty now.
Also, have you guys heard about the remaining party members?
I should possibly start avoiding this topic as soon as it gets closer to release date.
I’m treating this game like I did to MGS4.
Avoid EVERYTHING to avoid spoilers.
EVERYTHING!!!
I’m excited for all the ME 1 choices I made that didn’t get any action in ME 2 to get some important play, probably the most obvious of those being the Rachni. Of course I also have one Shep where i ditched Ashley for Tali and another where I stuck with Ashley and didn’t do a romance in ME2 and I’m curious how that’ll shape out.
And not being a huge shooter fan I felt like ME 2 went out of its way to strip the “RPG” OUT and I know they’re not going back to ME 1 but I am encouraged by what I’m hearing with different difficulty modes like between “Story”, “Shooter”, etc. I just can’t aim for the life of me, I can’t and hence I couldn’t finish ME2 on insanity no matter how hard I tried so with that being said, I’m glad Bioware is taking some of those critiques into account. ME2 did alot right, please don’t misunderstand, and I know generally speaking it appealed to a broader audience and sold more which is great news for a company I love (I mean I’ve spent over 350 hours in SWTOR and am not stopping until March 6 when SFxT and ME3 come out) but I’d like to see them put a little more RPG back in but Bioware is getting my money regardless.
Yeah, that’s probably a good idea.
Here are the remaining party members. MEGA SPOILERS.
[details=Spoiler] EDI and the Last Prothean.

EDI has a humanoid avatar that lets her fight alongside you. She replaces Tali if Tali died in Mass Effect 2 or if you never picked her up in ME1. The Last Prothean is a sniper i believe, garrus replacement. I could be wrong on their chosen professions.
Also, these could be wrong, as the details are still unclear.[/details]
Played the PC demo.
Returning character
Spoiler
Damn, Ashley got an upgrade! :wow:
Can’t wait for this game! I have my save files from the first two games, so I’ll get to see how everything plays out in my path. At least in the demo version, I didn’t see an option for adding scars. My Shepard has a scar on his face. Hmm…
Spoiler
Ugh a Prothean really? Thi shit just keeps getting worse from a story standpoint. And man, could that EDI design be any worse? I know they feel the need to pande to the EDI shipper fans but come on.
I’m with you Pozer. bounces
Yeah, I’m avoiding as much as I can the next 3 weeks too. However, for what it’s worth, in the PS3 demo, there’s someone from ME1 in it that apparently can die, so it’s possible we won’t get screwed.
My STRICT ME3 Regime:
- I shall never visit this thread again after today
- Censoring anything related to Mass Effect directly on my computer
- If anyone talks about it, anywhere unexpectedly, in quitting the web page in 3f
Yes. I am that excited for this game. I completed ME2 around 5 times. I need this game.
Also, I kind of hope Shepard dies? I mean, If I have to kill myself to save the galaxy it’s getting done. Came back from the dead once, I don’t really have a right to keep living compared to others. I’m just more interested in how they can kill a single reaper. Nevermind the many thousands of them.
EDIT: I killed the Rachni Queen…I can see that coming back to haunt me…Wrex also died…I’m not in that good of a stead haha, But everything else went okay.
I feel **REALLY **sorry for any guys that: [details=Spoiler] Gave the illusive man the collector base [/details]
Honestly, I don’t see a lot of the choices you made in ME1 and ME2 mattering a whole lot (other than character deaths). If anyone’s watched any videos…
Regarding the story structure of ME3
Spoiler
They already said that you would get a full understanding of what was going on even if you never played ME1 and ME2 since specifically made the game to play that way, which leads me to believe that a lot of stuff won’t come into effect other than mentioned briefly… if it all. Looks like ME3 is being used to attract a bigger fanbase before the next Mass Effect project. I really hope I’m wrong though.
Spoilers about Racni that relate to this
Spoiler
Man the fact that saving the rachni or killing them has no real affect ont he story is fucking stupid and just one more bump on the pile of lame we’re getting story wise
Sitting at the start screen about to jump into this shit. Be back when I’m done.
P.S. any bonus for players who have ME1 & ME2 data?
EDIT: Yo, this shit got multiplayer!?
To me, it just means that the story will be better if you’ve been following along since the beginning. A newcomer won’t have to play the previous games to get into ME3, but the experience as a whole will be better if you did.
Except the game is kind of shitting on alot of the choices made in 2 & 3, I feel sorry for anyone who chose Renegade options.
The whole morality aspect is interesting. I would say that renegade fits better as the “canon” of ME1, while paragon fits better for ME2.
Interestingly enough, ME is one of the few games that lets you play as a girl where I didn’t use her almost exclusively. I quite liked MaleShep in ME1 but he has so many derpy faces in ME2…
Renegade FemShep is the best though.
Last post I think. Just tried the demo with Kinect. Yeah actually saying commands is so immerse. All you do is point at the target you want like usual and say the squad member’s name then what attack you want them to do (and not saying their name assumes it’s your attack if you have that attack present). I can’t wait to get the full game and get really used to commanding my squad for real now. No more RB menu for me.
I bought a Kinect on accident, and been trying to sell it.
After reading FurryCurry’s post, I think I’ll keep it.
Granted, I only have the PS3 version of the game… BUT I WANT TO EXPERIENCE THE TOUCH!!
