I was waiting for that side quest the ENTIRE GAME. and it never came, they really left Aria out on a limb didn’t they? Taking back Omega seems like a pretty big deal.
Something involving Omega might happen as DLC. Though I can understand why Shepard wouldn’t waste time trying to mess with Omega WHEN THE REAPERS ARE FUCKING EVERYTHING UP ALL ACROSS THE GALAXY.
omega: we cerberus now!
i’m about to beat the game i think. sorry i didn’t respond to your messsage dios, i was out running errands.
how close am if i’m about to talk to the quarians
I miss the equipment pack in multiplayer.
The equipment pack was so good, definitely better then that crappy one that is replacing it for 33000 points. GGs to Mr Noodle and whoever his friend was, sorry I was playing like crap last night.
i just beat it…i already let off steam in another thread. but yeah fanfic ending .
im probaly not gonna wait around for the “real” ending cause i will not be sastified. this ending is forever stuck in my head. this is worse then when i watch the original evagelion ending
but beside the ending. i really love the game and ppl should pick it up to get a experience out of it. also fuck banshees they’re overpowered as hell.
i haven’t played the mutiplayer yet. how is it?
I just finished and the ending sequence (from the final mission onwards) as a whole was really disappointing. I disliked the introduction too.
But at least the parts in between were good.
Don’t worry Jamal, it’ll wear off after awhile just give it some time. Still doesn’t change the fact that it sucked, but it’ll cool off.
MP is awesome btw. Really fun.
Baldur’s Gate 2 had a good ending
Playing ME3 right now, stop making me depress guys!!
I’m having a lot of fun right now!!!
Really good, like a cross between Crysis 2 MP and Gears 3 Horde Mode.
Wait until the end my friend.
The most logical bitchslapping of the ending that I’ve found written… I’m not a great literary critic by any means and I lack the vocabulary to express things I know aren’t right but I know are wrong, I just can’t explain it very well sometimes… then I came across this… and it all came together… again don’t read if you haven’t beaten it… if you have… yeah… tears… not even manly tears… just tears…
So, I just started messing around with the Drell Adept last night. Holy hell are they fast and crap. Reave is good, Pull is the easiest way to deal with just about any Cerberus unshielded infantry ever, and Cluster Grenades are like…some cross between Frag Grenades, and Lift Grenades…but times THREE. The class has absolute garbage when it comes to shields though. But yeah, I just randomly tried it on Bronze since I haven’t touched Adept, and only had 3 points available to the class (so I had 1 point each on Cluster Grenade, Pull, and Reave), and I only ever got knocked down and needed reviving ONCE, and that was wave 10.
This is great, it organizes our anger at the ending in a consise way, nice find.
Okay I think sites like kotaku and destructoid seem even more shitty. They seem highly condescending and outright douchey toward the “Retake Mass Effect” event even though it has raised $80,000 for Child’s Play. The donations for child’s play through “retake Mass Effect” ended because it seems the charity was afraid it would bring a negative link between the charity and the petition, partly due to how negative the gaming media seems to be towards this.
Now, I really don’t care for the ending or changing it. In fact if the ending is shit, oh well, a lot of things these days end pretty bad and all you can do is move on. Hell I didn’t beat the game before I left for college again.
But what I think is really douchebag-like is shitting on the fact that these people are donating to a charity and doing something more than just signing an online petition, which honestly no one would give a shit about because we know how much signing a random online petition does. Even though everyone maybe worried about the “precedent” of re-writing endings through dlc (even though fallout 3 did it and actually as well received), I think people should at least be grateful for the efforts towards the charity. You can go read the articles on kotaku or destructoid if you want but you guys should know by now not to give them clicks.
I thought gaming websites are supposed to be on the sides of the gamers not developers?
Kotaku is an exception though, esports #Kappa
Kotaku is shit though, regardless on whose side they are on. They’re like a crappy, extra late version of sankaku complex with more video games than porn and China bashing.
Did they get up to 80K for Child’s Play? That would be amazing, fantastic and good stuff to everyone who donated to a great charity. I had heard it was at 29K, then I heard a number of about 45K which is by itself fantastic, but if Child’s Play got 80K, why the hell would anyone be upset about that? This is what I don’t understand about gaming media in general… a group of people have a complaint, instead of being internet trolls (who you hate), they put their energy to good use, and choose to help children while raising awareness of their complaint, and that’s not good enough? So I guess to the gaming media at large, the answer is just to not complain when there’s something you don’t like and just eat your broccoli…
They’re on the side of whoever they think is right. Kotaku doesn’t matter either way.
You know, I just thought about something… when you finish the game… go through the credits, see the “scene” at the end, and you get the datapad that basically tells you to wait for DLC… did anyone else notice where it plops you down? It reloaded me to just before I hit the Illusive Man’s base, which is basically the beginning of the elongated end sequence… Why would Bioware choose to plop you back at this point (and not give you the opportunity to save for large parts of the final mission) unless they planned on making some sort of change to the ending sequence that would require you to basically replay it from the very beginning of that sequence (i.e. the Illusive Man’s base)?
I think the essay is right, either Bioware is brilliant or their writing team was completely inept… but I want to believe tthey’re brilliant, I really do… and that combined with Bioware’s commentary on providing “more closure” or whatever it is they exactly said makes me wonder… I’ll just keep grasping at straws…
Bro wtf? They plop you down before Cerberus because that’s the point of no return and if the player has new DLC to play with they can choose to do that on that save file instead of having to replay the game fresh or on a new game+. With the game ending the way it does it’s really hard to make extra missions that make sense.
