Well there are always class matchups with certain enemies like I always sucked against Phantoms or anyone that got close.
How are Vanguard? idk why but I felt their effectiveness has decreased as the series went on.
Vanguards are great. They are valuable imo when played well because they are the only class that is able to fully restore shields so they can be your teams tank and crowd control (soldier only gets a little back from adrenaline rush but the cd and duration don’t make them as tanky on higher difficulties). Their weakness is stupidity, which a lot of people suffer from, like trying to nova and charge banshees or run into a full room of turrets and get stunned so they go down. I think against banshees since vanguards are basically the tank and distraction class of the game because they just rush down constantly, is go off and handle ravagers and marauders that try to harass the team while handling banshees. They could also easily go toe-to-toe with brutes. So many people go down to the other enemies while trying to wear down the banshee and brutes, that I think sometimes it’s best to handle the smaller enemies before focusing on the big guys because you can always play keep away against them. Vanguards could also handle everything else in this game. Just use nova and charge invincibility to your advantage.
Also having another biotic class to help set off explosions make team synergy pretty godly. Just play with the team on higher difficulties and only rush when you know your team has your back. Though they are buggy at times and there is some weird things like not being able to fire off your powers until you pop off a shot. Some things just seem messed up haha.
That being said, Half-Blast on Nova and a maxed Biotic Charge pretty much make things insane as you can Charge in, knock back 2 enemies, use Nova twice, and then Charge to a lone enemy with your shields getting maxed after.
I’m in need of pistol mods. Should I go for vet or recruit packs?
You’re most likely to get the good stuff in Veteran and Spectre packs. Recruit packs usually give you an ammo mod and some Medigel/Missiles/Spare Ammo.
I think i’m going to write up a bunch of endings. It’ll give me peace lol.
Here’s a topic, who do you guys think lore wise were Shepard’s strongest party members? Not by gameplay mechanics but like according to the story. There’s no reason to debate this but I guess it’s just for fun with the series being “ended (I hope not)” and all. IMO it’s this, order is by strength within tiers as well.

I remember for some strange reason I played thorugh ME1 so many times I made it up to level 60, and every time I restarted the game I leveled up Jenkins despite him never going int combat. I never realized this until later, too bad 
btw: Damn good revision of the ending of ME3. An ending I would have PAID MORE to see
Maaan, that B tier is going to get you some hate considering some really good people ranked below Thane and some of the A tier. I can’t really see putting Thane in S tier though since he’s dying in ME2 and all, lol. And the only one in C I’m not that big of a fan of is surprisingly enough the one that’s not organic.
If Thane was in his prime he’d have more of a definent chance in there. Of course it’s open to debate it is just my opinion after all. It was harding placing Liara and Kaidan. I know that Ashley is just a damn good soldier, but she was offered spectre status so she’s definitely a cut above the rest like Vega. Kaidan went through intense biotic training and is also a spectre canidate so I think he’s both the good soldier and a good biotic which puts him above Ashley. I’m not sure how to place Liara since it’s obvious she’s more than just a scientist and actually a powerful biotic, but I don’t know how strong she is exactly compared the other biotics though I definitely see her being stronger than Miranda and Jacob as biotics.
Zaeed is also someone I think I might place higher, he’s had a hell of allot of experience and is just a damn good soldier with ruthless intentions. I put thane in S because he

Pretty much fought off Kai leng while being in the final stages of Kepral Syndrome Kai Leng is in his prime, if Thane was he would’ve kicked Kai’s ass harder
not to mention Thane is a badass, he’s a master of hand to hand combat, weapons and has years of experience. Tali is more of a mechanic than a soldier to me. I’ve heard of Jacob’s stories from the comic but I never read them myself. Idk how to place Javik either. He was the avatar of vengeance and he obviously has some skill but not enough feats to tell but he’s not crap so I put him in the middle of B. While Jack is the most powerful human biotic, Samara is a freaking Asari Justicar, the most powerful Asari warriors. Though they’re neck and neck considering that Jack trashed all those mechs getting out of the Prison, though since both her and Samara are capable of holding the barrier they might be even but i’ll give it to Samara IMO since she’s an asari and naturally gifted with biotics.
I put Miranda at the bottom of B because while she is a biotic and is technically the most perfect human being possible with genetics I think her combat ability isn’t great compared to her ability as a negotiator and tactician, since she can successfully lead the strike team at the collector base but as a combatnant im not sure. I mean Grunt can’t handle the Strike Leader position but he’d beat Miranda every time in a fight.
Wrex and Garrus are definite S tiers considering their experience, and their feats. Since Morinth is simply harvested like fail in ME3 if you let her survive I’d place her below Samara and jack even though she is capable of holding the barrier. Legion I put up there for being pretty much the strongest geth platform, and the most intelligent, he’s like a geth on soldier steroids. Grunt being the Krogan version of Miranda (albeit much more modest) also puts him up there.
While Mordin is not your average Salarian his aging body I think made me put him in C tier at the top. He’s had STG training, which makes him pretty much a Commando-level combatnant but he’s old and he’s more focused to being a scientist/professor anyways. Kasumi was hard to place and I might put her higher since she technically did take down a gunship by herself, but she’s a thief not an assassin not really a combat specialist like how Mordin is a scientist over a fighter. Vega I placed simply because he’s like Ashley, just a soldier but with some natural talent and a cut above your average marine but compared to the rest of the party members idk though I might place him above Tali though she has had military training and likely allot of experience against Vega. EDI is just a lesser version of Legion IMO. Jeinkins was a no brainer, poor jeinkins defeated by the first enemy in the game.

About to jump into the multiplayer for the first time, didn’t even do so in the demo or anything. Is there any general tips you guys can give me? From what I’ve read it seems it can be a bitch if you don’t know what you’re doing and/or are playing with people who don’t.
Javik is the Commander Shepard of the Protheans he’s SS tier.
Work the group mentality. It’s even more important to remember that you are NOT Rambo, especially before level 15 with your character. Also, no matter how good you think you are, you can NOT get through Silver and Gold until you reach a certain level with your guys as you just won’t have the stats, and some would argue you’d need the new weapons too. Also, don’t bother with the Equipment pack. The main ones you’ll want to go for are the Veteran and Spectre packs, but the Recruit ones are good if you have an extra $5000 laying around.
I just downloaded From Ashes DLC and I would say I’m probably %10-25 into the game before I downloaded the DLC. But the mission isn’t popping up in my email. Does anyone know why?
Sorry Reth the power went out for almost 3 hours, so I sat around in the dark reading on my Nook.
Equipment packs are the shit, they are great for getting the stuff you need to help survive on gold and silver. They are really good when you started getting the Epic Unlocks that give you an extra rocket, health pack, revive you can carry into battle with you. You can beat Silver at a low level, you just have to have some people that know what they are doing. Hell me and Reth practically 2 maned a silver today before Pun got to join at Wave 10.
I am still disappointed at how bad the Quarian Engineers are. There really is just no reason to play them over the Human Eng. They are the best classes with a SMG but the SMGs are garbage. The ones that are even decent will end up hurting your hand trying to control the recoil while shooting it fast enough to actually do some damage. They are okay against the Reapers, by okay I mean they are serviceable but still a huge pile of shit. The Human Eng are just better in every way.

the quarian engineer and the krogans are the worst classes in the game.don’t get me wrong though im not saying they cant be effective but another class can do what they do better.top 3 imo in order is Infiltrators,human vanguard,drells.i need to start playin the sp every time i turn this game on i go straight to the mp lol.
Yeah, I thought the Quarian Engineer was going to be good because of the sentry gun, but I find that it’s not very effective. Nothing at all like the Cerberus gun, which completely thrashes anyone not in cover.
