The Official Mass Effect 3 Thread: True Ending only 1600 MS Points

Supposedly…
It’s a major plot point in the story.
Something about finding a surviving Prothean or something like that? I believe it may be another message on how to take on the Repears kind of thing.
Don’t recall the exact details, but it seemed like a major plot key
on a side note: this is the last weekend of the free multiplayer demo, so anyone who’s missed it should try it out while its still around.

apparently bioware increased the chances of getting special character unlocks.

and i just saw the video on youtube of a team of four krogans beat 11 waves on the hardest difficulty. it was awesome.:eek:

and someone leaked the ending…it’s terrible…sigh…

on a side note, does anyone think we’ll be able to keep anything from the demo in the real multi player?

Nothing gets carried over.

which is why i only played 1 game of mp.

dont know about this game. the other choice is sfxt lol.

dammit…i fully leveled 4 characters…what a waste of time… on a side note, i’m actually glad that there was a spoiler thread for the ending…stops me from going ape shit when i got the ending…lol…

In case anyone wanted to start a new game with no saves, here’s a list of what your game will look like (taken from gamefaqs):

[details=Spoiler]Hey guys!

So the first thing of note is that the list I am about to give is from the strategy guide, I take absolutely no credit for any of the content in this post.

This is a list of the choices or consequences decided for you if you do NOT have an import from ME1 or ME2. There may be other choices that take effect that are bonus if you do have an import, but these choices are confirmed to carry over at the least.

So if you do NOT have an import, here is what you are looking at for previous decisions:

++++ Mass Effect 1 choices ++++

 • Garrus was recruited
 • Wrex was recruited
 • The feros colony was not saved
 • Shiala, the asari, was killed by the Thorian
 • The Rachni Queen died
 • Shepard killed Wrex on Virmire
 • Shepard had no romance (oh noes!)
 • The destiny ascension, along with the council, was destroyed.
 • Udina was named counsellor
 • All side missions and DLC content are considered as if you did not do them

++++ Mass Effect 2 choices ++++

 • It is assumed Shepard did not do any loyalty missions
 • Shepard did not help Mordin, as such no chance was made to save or destroy the genophage cure data.
 • Tali was exiled by her people
 • Shepard had no romance
 • Zaeed and Kasumi were never recruited
 • Mordin is alive
 • Garrus is alive
 • Miranda is alive
 • Jacob is alive
 • Grunt was never woken up from the tank and as such is never mentioned
 • Jack died during the suicide mission
 • Thane died during the suicide mission
 • Tali was recruited and is alive
 • Tali never romanced
 • Samara was never recruited, but she fought her way off of ilium and was then murdered by Morinth.
 • Legion was never reactivated and never gained a name
 • Shepard destroyed the collector base
 • The only normandy crew members that survived the suicide mission were Joker and Chakwas. Yeoman chambers and all other mass effect 2 non-squad members died.
 • Shepard did not complete optional N7 missions and assignments (such as citadel missions)
 • Shepard did not complete Arrival, Overlord or the shadow broker DLC. But the events of Arrival and Overlord happened off screen, the batarian system still exploded, and Liara is still the shadow broker.

++++ End ++++

I hope this helps at least a bit for people trying to set up their “perfect” playthroughs or simply trying to figure out what choices matter. I repeat again, there MAY be other choices that matter but these choices are simply ones made for you if you do not have an import save.
[/details]

Sounds to me having the saves is worthwhile.

I’ll say.

My ps3 crashed with all my ME2 saves, and so i was debating whether or not making another save(would’ve marked my FOURTH playthrough, sigh).

After reading that, I can honestly say i have my work cut out for me the next coupla days lol

my first xbox with my ME1 saves got stolen a couple months before ME2 came out, i soldiered on and replayed the hell out of ME1 to be ready :slight_smile:

One more day left…

So apparently 360 owners have to go through disc-swap hell, according to GAF. I don’t know how bad it is, and won’t know since I’m getting the PC version.

Fuck, my ME2 file isn’t done yet!!!
GIVE ME TIME, FUCKIN’ BIOWARE!! SDKFJS;KLFJKFJ;KFAJSLDFJA;LFJ;LKFJS;!!!

I need to practice SFxT and play MS3.
How can I deal with this?!
Oh well, I’ll play Mass and once I’m done, a tier list for SFxT should be out and I can just tier whore :smiley:

Yeah, it was totally awesome swapping disc 2 out for disc 1 to finish the game.

meh…you have to swap the disc twice…

i’m just now starting my me2 savethrough. finally beat me1. fuck i’m gonna hafta crank it out hard

I’m excited for this game.

I am going to the midnight release in acouple hours.

I ordered mine on Amazon ($10 credit, preorder bonus, and release day shipping). Pretty sure this is the first time I’ve ever spent $60 on a game but it’ll be worth it.

Hyped for this, got My CE paid off and will actually sit on ME3 for a few days while I finish up my final ME2 play-through/Save File.

You guys, use spoiler tags for the love of FUCK. Do not ruin the story for anyone else. If you have to question about posting it, Tag it! Do it or I will fucking end you. thanks.

Also, for those who already have the game or will get it soon enough/will rush through the game, when will be the best time to activate the DLC you get from the collectors edition? Not sure if I want to activate that stuff in the game too early.

For example, I have all the dlc for Mass Effect 2, in this playthrough, I have the overload, shadow broker and Arrival dlc missions ready to go and I don’t even have all my squad-members assembled yet. I don’t know what the dlc for the CE is called or when it will pop up. don’t want to do it too soon ya know?

just seeing if I should wait until im done with the game before inputting the dlc code. But then again, the dlc might give you armor or weapons to use which might help me in gameplay. Ugh.

Newegg has the CE edition right now if people are still looking for it!
