As someone who can’t aim to save my life, and enjoyed ME1 combat for that reason (Since as long as I was close dice rolls in the background chose whether or not I hit in RPG fashion), after playing ME3 Multiplayer for just a little bit… I won’t be able to enjoy it. I tried, I’m terrible. I will be that lame guy playing ME3 in story or RPG mode because it just doesn’t work. I just hope Bioware is telling the truth when they say that you won’t need to play multiplayer to get the best ending.
I really feel bad, I tried to enjoy it, I’m just really bad at aiming and messing stuff up for other people isn’t a good time for me.
And if you can, play ME1, I liked its narrative better than ME2, even though I really liked certain characters in ME2 and the only knock on it to me were the elevators that were too long… but led to funny conversations.
I heard it, cause you didn’t bleed out. And I usually fuck around the first two or three waves to try and see how much I can get away with, you know experiment a little, that’s why I go down a lot in the first couple waves.
Anyways, ME3 MP is like crack. To me it’s like Crysis 2 + Gears 3 MP combined. Just wished everything we gained carried over to the released game, getting those characters is a bitch and a rarity.
There were a couple of interviews a bit back, including one where Casey Hudson specifically says you can get the best ending strictly through single player. Just that multiplayer makes it a bit easier.
It should be, but when Multiplayer got announced and I heard that MP could affect your single player ending, my fear was that the “BEST” ending would require even minimal multiplayer which while I don’t have a problem with the MP implementation in ME3, I can’t play because I’m terrible. So for me, since Mass Effect has always been about the narrative, it made me nervous.
I won’t cast judgement on this issue until after I play it and see if it’s as big as deal as The Arrival or Lair of the Shadow Broker were or even bigger to the main story.
Yeah I’m kind of in love with Kinect commands. It’s one thing to raise your finger off the Left Trigger to stop aiming to use a a special power and it’s another to activate it while you are aiming and shooting. That would be like a soldier in real life firing his gun at a target and saying grenade ‘flash bang’ and out gets thrown a flash bang while he’s still firing at someone.
