No problem!

Ask Calibur, I think he’s going to be the trail boss for that night’s after events. I have football practice the next day. :frowning:

Edit: Never mind, I’ll be there

What subway station is by the Sky Lounge? I hopelessly bad at navigating Tokyo.

dont take the subway, take a normal JR train to Shinagawa station. Lookin forward to meet ya

Word, alright thanks. Yeah, I’m glad I’ll be able to make it to a function this trip since I missed GG2.5. Beer after? Clubs are too spendy. Actually, alcohol in general is too spendy. They need pabst here just so I don’t burn 500 yen a glass on beer.

i dont really drink, but i can chill… dont really plan to go back home that night… i havent asked calibur yet if he has any plans post-pizza party, i dont really have a nightlife lol so i dont know much

Not drinking would totally save me a ton of money, so I’d actually be down for whatever. I’d offer you stay in my hostel room, but its a single bed  Capsules? find a sexy lady and hit a love hotel?

I don’t have to pre-register for finalroundbat, right? Don’t wanna miss this.

lol id be fine sleepin at a manga kissa/internet cafe or something… that is, if i am going to sleep.

oh wait, if theres nothing planned after the party, maybe i can crash at a friends place… have a few living in tokyo.

They let you sleep there? Tight.

I don’t have plans to go out late on saturday.

I mean, I’m always ready if there are people interested, but…

If there are people who want to stay out in Tokyo this Sat. post up what you are REALLY interested in and I’ll try to come up with ideas.

I dont know… I guess im just interested(curious?) in experiencing/seeing whats Tokyo nightlife is like… Cant really be specific since I’m not used to having a “nightlife”, back home if i stayed late, proly just chillin with friends at some place to eat really late supper, or watch movies and stuff like that.

I realize its probably going to be a nuisance more than anything, so proly i’ll just hang with Suicidal Grandpa for a bit then find a place to crash. sall good, i dont think i wanna explore tokyo alone at night lol

im hitting up my usual bar for a big party after the tourny

oh yeah i forgot that youre going to FRJ too.

I don’t remember it being about money, but direct exchange of material goods. They would use cell phone dating services to meet old men, go to karaoke booths, and let them smell their underwear and ridiculous things. Usually not straight sexual intercourse, I haven’t heard much about that. Then they’d get purses, watches, shoes, new phones…

It’s called ??? (enjo kousai or just enkou) translated as “compensated dating” rather than prostitution. It’s not necessarily for sex, most of the time it’s just for companionship. Men give money and/or gifts (usually expensive fashion brand accessories, bags, etc.) It’s not just for schoolgirls - housewives get in on it too. ??? (gyaku enjo kousai) is when women pay men for companionship.

A lot of schoolgirls these days joke about it and it’s kinda “old-school” but it still exists here and there. It’s just not as “open” as it was in the late nineties after a bunch of prefectures started having Hodouin?(“guidance officers”) which are plain-clothes police and (mostly) community volunteers who annoy young people out past 11pm or who wear expensive items or are too young to smoke. It doesn’t really get much further then some boring overly-long lecture in the middle of the street but if the police take enough interest, teenagers are taken to a juvenile center or police station for ?formal guidance? and entered into a confidential police directory.

Since enjo kousai is seen as a moral problem people don’t single out the girls that do this, but rather give them “guidance” and “counseling” as opposed to arresting them or anything like that.

Haha, I’m at a loss as to what to do too though. I mean, there’s spots like Shinjuku/Shibuya that are real busy at night but once actually there I’ve not done anything besides have late supper and drink. Let’s just talk the day of and see if anything’s going down.
