Nope… sorry. Them’s the breaks. It’s Bachelors or GTFO in Nippon.
… unless you marry a Japanese citizen. That’s your only possible loophole to stay in Japan… but you’d still be looking at major difficulties finding a job that doesn’t require a bachelor’s.
I’ve known people who have come with a fake bachelors from non-existent schools, but I’m sure if someone finds out you could get in trouble, and trouble can lead to like life time banishment from Japan from what I hear. Yeah, I guess it does suck, but I’m pretty sure all countries have similar laws.
Anyway there are a lot of reasons to get your bachelors other than just living in Japan…
Keep in mind that for just about anything except teaching English (need a 4 year degree) or something else with fluent Japanese like translation (prolly still need a 4 year degree), if they can hire a Japanese person to do the same job, they will. No point in hiring a foreigner when there might be language issues when they could just hire a Japanese person.
I say just come here, rent a place for a few months, party and stay long enough to get sick of it, and then you won’t have to worry about coming back for a while.
(Thank God That I didn’t have to work today!
Thanks to everyone that came out to FRB02, I literally just woke up now. Here are the pictures from the last FRB! I’ll see you next month. And Bull410 has posted some of the matches up on his youtube site
thats a good question. can anyone answer that question for me?
is there anything else that i could do over in japan for work? im looking for a “respectable” job though. i am/was a Draftsman.
English teaching is sometimes far from “respectable” though. You have to kinda let go of some of your own self worth to avoid getting mad over petty things.
Anyone attend Temple University Japan Campus or and have any experience with them what so ever?
I posted this in the regional Japan thread as well, not trying to piss anyone off, but the regional thread doesn’t seem to get updated as much as this.
Just thought of sharing that Ive recently discovered a chat room for Japan SSF4(PS3) and its really awesome since its a community with a good number of active players ranging from total beginners to top players(zangitan frequents the chat, and i guess a bunch of other people im not sure who they really are), ive been getting good practice with a lot of characters that i dont really get to fight often(good ones too), and i get to ask questions and discuss on how to improve my gameplay etc, its a bonus that most of them are real nice too, especially towards beginners/people learning the game or matchup, so far i havent experienced any shit talkin or people givin destructive criticism lol(im sure there are times where they do that)… granted the whole thing is in japanese and sometimes it can be hard for me to grasp the content when the chat moves too fast.
They also hold online ranbats(beginner/open) every week…
