I guess its that they dont really like you, and just like some prefrabricated image in their mind? Which is to say, that its a blow to ones ego that it wasn`t your inherent charm that attracted them, just the influence of 50-cent and age old stereotypes…

It’s not wrong, it’s just annoying. Yeah, if I was coming here for vacation that trying to smash as many shallow sluts as I can behind my image would be A-okay. But right now, this is real life, and I am amazed at how …unbending these chicks are towards the types of guys they like. Some only date black guys. Some only date Brits. Some only Aussies. Like Az said, they want the image, and the fucked up part is the image that these J-girls have for black folk is so twisted it’s not even funny. It’s different than western chicks who prefer one type. Some w-girls will be drawn to a certain type because of their fashion sense, or their skin tone, or their body type, but once out of highschool most western girls stop going for guys only because they fit a certain image. Unless that image they are chasing is rich. Women never stop chasing that image.
I guess I am saying I am tired of pretending to be Chingy so I can help fullfill some ignorant girls fantasy.
While there are a lot of guys here just to rack up their bedpost numbers, many guys do want to actually seriously date a girl. If the girl only likes you for what you are instead of who you are…well, this makes for a lousy foundation for a relationship. And like Calibur said, the black image here is mostly based off stereotypes and preconceived notions that, in many cases, are way off from the truth.
Even if I just wanted to randomly bone J-girls…I met this girl once, she was interested in me just because I was black, and at the time I wasn’t trying to date seriously or anything like that, so if I just wanted the quick bang, sure. But she lost interest in me after like 10 minutes because, more or less, I wasn’t “true” black, whatever that is. I managed to hook up with her friend (that’s another story…) who later told me that this girl likes “dangerous” black guys - I would have had to show up at the club with my sideways Yankees hat, basketball jersey, some bling, and maybe a gun in my pocket (if they were at all accessible here…).

The girls I did meet either liked me for who I was, or wanted experience with a black guy but liked that I was a “safer” route. But if I had done the rap video thing…just wear the clothes, talk the talk, and walk into any hip-hop club - I could have staggering numbers of girls. But I can’t condone that behavior at all, so I didn’t/couldn’t do it.
There are some girls who prefer foreigners, and they do have somewhat legit reasons though.
I think its hilarious that she wanted adangerous`black guy, because Japan is like the safest freakin country in the world, and coming from America and the Bronx, I find that even more hilarious. The most dangerous thing around here is a just mopped fllor.
These anecdotes make me wonder how good of an influence Hip-Hop has had around the world (Except maybe for the African folks here in Japan who seem to juice the Hip-hop image for all its worth).

Do any of you guys know how to get to Shinjuku Sunroute Plaza hotel from Haneda airport? I’m sure its cheaper by rail, but I’m having problems figuring it out. How much would a Taxi cost? Also, is this airport crazy to navigate? Sorry, I’m a first timer and I don’t want to get stranded with all my shit missing. Thanks for any help.
Oh, Sunroute Hotel, that’s near where I work. The Subway in the basement floor food court of the neighboring Maynds Tower has a couple hot “sandwich artists” working there around lunchtime. Good for eye candy to go with your meaty six-inch Club. (Forgive me if you have a foot-long)
