I asked Azrael and he suggested I post in this thread. I was wondering if any of you gamers in Japan might be at a tourney or know how to contact Itazan aka Itabashi Zangief? I was talking to him a bit online after driving him to the airport to go home after vacationing in Seattle with his buddy Yosuke and some Seattle locals… Depending on how things go I will definitely be in the Philippines, but also possibly Thailand or Tokyo later this year too.
If anyone thinks they could encounter him, could you PLEASE give him my email address? He is a REALLY NICE GUY and speaks good english so even if you don’t speak Japanese you can talk to him. PM me if you think you could help? Thanks a lot! :karate:
Here is a very awesome ??? for Valentine’s Day… in Japanese! This has the Reno Stamp of Approval so you are guaranteed either a hot girl, or a good laugh. I can’t guarantee both though!
Fall semester is finally over for me, but now I have nothing to do. Most of my Japanese friends don’t live Kyoto and now that they’ve graduated, they have no reason to come here anymore. And my foreign exchange friends are pretty much all going back to their respective countries during the 2 month break. That just leaves me here alone
What’s a good way to meet people outside of school? I don’t want to be a ??? during the break :crybaby:
anyway just curious, anyone here lives on the odakyu line? i need like, more friends to hang out with that wont cost me that much money to just get to their place
I live in Gunma but I go to Tokyo just about every weekend for games and drinking. You are welcome to tag along. I usually play in Takadanobaba and drink in Shinjuku.
Hey man, we met YEARS ago in Chicago at Nickel City and ate BK together! Didn’t know you were in Japan. Dunno if you saw my post but by chance would you know how to contact Itazan?
The tabloids have been all up in his ass for a few years now, so with the latest incident he probably didn’t have much of a choice. Oh well, at least he gets to go out on the top. He can still put together a decent income making the TV rounds for awhile.
Long story but I tried to move to Shimokitazawa this May, but wound up in Nakano. Nakano’s alright and has some good arcades so I can’t complain. Boring nightlife though, and I hate biking to Shinjuku/Shibuya.
Hey SRK Crew,
I finally got my 1kyuu certification and now need to find a new job. Does anyone know of any good websites to find advertisements for translation work???(Gaijinpot doesnt cut it here it seems)Ive been doing translation volunteer work for the International center here in Kobe, as AdverseSolutions had so kindly suggested. Any suggestions? Any advice would be welcomed!
Unfrotuntely I dont have his contact info. Im mostly a GG player so I dont personally know that many big SF players in Japan. I suppose the best I could do would be to ask MIU to ask BAS or something but I dunno if they would be cool with just giving out his info like that. When you come to Tokyo, come visit Big Box and im sure if you ask around you can find a way to contact him.
