The Official Japan Thread 2.0 "Nani?"

aoishi, I wanted your email so that I could contact you while im in tokyo (I live 3 hours from Tokyo). Unless you have a cellphone email I dont see how your hotmail one is gonna help me contact you, get what im sayin? Anyway, I will most likely be playing games at Takadanobaba Mikado on Friday evening from 8 pm till whenever it gets kinda dead. I will also be there playing on Saturday during the day most likely. Its next to the station in an ally if youve never been there, not that hard to find.

Otherwise the place im gonna be drinking at is call Current. heres the website

Rockincurrent is badass. Reminds me of austin lol. Metal bars ftw.

glad you had fun there. come drink with me again next time you make it out here

before i make any plans to go to japan whenever that is … what is the legal drinking age there?

technicaly 20 but if you walk into a bar and dont look like you are in elementary school they will probably serve you a drink. they NEVER card ANYONE

according to wiki, 20 although if it’s like korea they never check IDs.

technically? lol
thats cool…
just walk act cool and order a drink then…
so where all the young chick be hanging out at? im talking 18~21 ish lol

Yeah no lie, i get carded at internet cafes, but not at bars. Gogo Japan!

Would this be an appropriate thread to post about television (drama specifially)?

I saw Crying Out Love From The Center Of The Earth a few years ago, and it broke my poor little heart like it was Marvel. When I first saw it, I wasn’t strong enough to keep watching, so I stopped. About a year after, I remembered it, and watched again. I still wasn’t strong enough, but I survived hahaha. I think I’m just sensitive. Anyone else see this show?

Now I’m starting to watch Hotaru no Hikari (more Haruka Ayase). I’m hoping it’s not as emotionally destructive as Crying Out Love.

Can anyone recommend a good Haruka Ayase or Takayuki Yamada drama, or any great drama in general?

uhh nah in Korea they do check IDs.

How about they checked my EX’s ID all the time and she’s 27.

She looks 20 though…

Foreigners though mmm they may have a grace period because they don’t give a fuck about us

Wazap all
This Sat @ Sky Lounge from 1600 til 2200, We’ll be playing fighting games!

I wanna know who are up for it this sat

Kansai peeps, anyone up for another SFIV throwdown September 12/13? I’m not sure when Sabin is coming to Osaka - I wanted to time one for when he comes, but Sept 12/13 are like the only days I have free this entire month.

lol i think im getting in osaka right on september 13th =/

Just wondering, how hard is it to find a space to rent ie: Apartments. In Japan?
Also the same for jobs??

I’m down if it’s the 13th and doesn’t rain on the 12th.

My school’s taiikusai is on the 12th provided it doesn’t rain. If it rains, it’ll be on the 13th, and there’s no way I’ll make either day.

Either way tho, I def have the 14th (monday) off, so maybe I’ll show arturo around osaka or whatever.

MGO - You’re 16, worry about graduating high school and college first.

Damn, I gotta help John before he leaves so I might not be able to come. Which sucks cuz Sarah owes me some apple pie! Lol!

Aiite people im gonna be in a Japanese Play performance September 11-20.

those who would like to come pre-order tickets here (weekends have a high chance of selling out) http://ticket.corich.jp/apply/13104/016/

additional info available here http://uga-web.com/sb/sb.cgi?eid=130

all info is in Japanese so hopefully you can read it somewhat.

We usually start mid-afternoon and go until last train. I dunno what your schedule’s like though.

If not the 13th, the only other possible day for me would be the 23rd.

Im going to a morning musume concert on the 23rd in Kobe so Im not gonna be there anyways. For me, pretty much the 13th is the best day. It really depends on everyone else too.

Right guys I need some help here. Im planning to attend a Garou Tourney in Acho (which is in Kyoto) next year in March: http://www.classic-evo.net/~eclipse/

I kinda need some info on places to stay that are close to Acho. Are Ryokan’s expensive in Kyoto or would I be better off staying in a Hotel? Again if anyone knows of any near Acho then I can research on prices.

Thanks
