Hey guys, two more questions… I bought a game card for ssf4ae, when I get wins I get bp but no pp… Why is that?? And what the hell is the zeny for?? One more thing, how do I add a name to my card? I’m plaing as “no name” right now.
you only gain PP if you registered your card. only when you registered that you can customize your name etc… zeny is used to buy stuff at the shop (mobile site)… you need a japan phone/line to register your card. are you going to be here for long?
basically you cant really do anything else but play the game if you dont register your card, and one card = 500 plays.
Ok thanks, good to know. Nahh I wont be here long, I’m leaving a week from today. So, after 500 plays you stop accruing bp Ib this card and you need to get more?? Strange.
Yo all, I got a job in Tokyo and I wanted to ask your advice on Visazzzzzz Bascially my company is applying for the Certificate of Eligibility, then after I get that, I gotta apply for my own Visa. How long did yours take to get? I wanna see what people’s experience was when getting them… Other than that I’m looking forward to getting some games with you Tokyo-based dudes!
Ok, I need to open my PS3, the flat heads I have wont fit in the Security Torx screw that is on the case under the rubber foot.
I have read in some places that it is a Security (TR) T10 driver head that I need, but some of the security pins have different gaugues and may be too big for the hole (ya… she always says that…) in the screw.
Does (has) any one opened a PS3 PHAT with this bit? Does anyone here know where I can go get that bit… store specific… In Tokyo?
I have one week until I go on vacation and this is my last home project before I am in Nagano… Want this done so I can play SSF4:AE when I return… itching really bad now.
~snip~
yo scottpzzzzyyy… update this link. SRK URLs all change after the forum format did… or sumptin like that.
Sorry, Security T8 yes. (T8 for slim, T10 for phat.) I skimmed your post and didn’t notice the ‘phat’ part at first. I’ll edit my original post.
Good stuff here: http://silverhilltools.com/tool_kits Did you know that if you order stuff from amazon.co.jp you can have it delivered C.O.D. to your local Lawson convenience store? Might be an option but you can find these tools at any DIY or 100yen shop.
I definitely want to meet the SRK family here in Japan!! I need to get out of work more…
Is there any other English ALT programs in Japan besides JET anyone could recommend? I applied for JET last year and didn’t get accept, and I don’t know if I want to go through their application process again. I just don’t want to get stuck with a shady business and organization.
JET is the only program that will pay you well as a beginning ALT. The rest is a crapshoot with shady companies, crazy requirements, and questionable business practices. Yes you can find good companies/branches, but caution is advised.
Also, it seems like there’s an overrun of English teachers right now. A friend got hired by Interac a couple months ago to start in the fall, only to be told a week ago that they had overhired and instead of starting in the fall, he wouldn’t start until April 2012. His fiance is Japanese and he’s seriously pissed off right now.
Yeah, this is what I feared. I really only wanted to do JET because of how well they pay and the benefits. Otherwise I would like to go over there in a technical field of some kind, I don’t really want to be teaching English for life. From my friends experience this has ranged from very difficult to not so difficult to find jobs over there. I guess it’s partially luck.
