Those forms aren’t the last chance or anything. It’s still run like a normal tournament in that there will still be a registration period during which you can walk up and say what games you wanna be in and we’ll just add you to the bracket. No worries dude. Just bring the 5 and let me/sying know.

Awesome. So these initial points will determine the seeding in the future and we’ll be doing more splitting of people into the correct pools so things are a bit more entertaining for the seasoned players. Finally getting to know where everyone is skill level-wise with this stuff. Should make it all run smoother as we go along.

Issues people bring up:
space
We’ve been given the O.K. in the future to take up the entire place when we have larger tournaments or perhaps season finales or holiday specials and stuff so we should be able to occasionally free up more space for the larger turnouts. Honestly the cramped thing is cool with me because it’s more “arcade” like and it helps you get used to playing when you aren’t 100% uncomfortable but I understand some people get pretty annoyed by it so we are doing our best to solve that problem somehow. Even going so far as to look at other locations if we really really have to get tons of space for something large.
speed
Used a better system for seeding people and running brackets in a specific order. Was it faster? I felt it was. Thought we did pretty good this time even with the staggering. Sorry if I seemed stern at times.
setups
Just wanted to mention one more thing.
If any of you guys want games like Tekken or MK9 or BlazBlue or TvC or even older titles like CvS2 or the alphas or something to be played regularly and have a tournament presence at this venue we are totally fine with this, you just need to actually bring a setup for your game and try and gather support for it by inviting out other players or by teaching other people how to play the game. Those communities really need help right now so anyone willing to step up and start doing that should go right ahead. If you can get 6 people to confirm for a tournament I’ll gladly run a bracket for it… .if you want Round Robin that’s fine or if you want standard Double Elim I’ll do that too, I just need to know enough people are going to show to justify bringing out the setup and building the bracket. If you really can’t get any more than 4 players I’ll run a round robin for that too.

3rd strike online for the 360
Probably going to buy an extra copy of AE (its cheap on Amazon), speakers for my Alienware (200 bucks for a monitor and it doesnt even have speakers) and possibly another EVO monitor once it goes on sale again. Hopefully this will alleviate some of the bottlenecks too.

Hammer Hall Ranbats each Sunday at 6PM, we are in week 2 but its a great way to level up your game.
At the same place, on the weekend of October 29th or October 30th birds! and I are planning a Halloween Themed tournament with Vampire Savior (Darkstalkers) and King of Fighters XIII and a awesome mystery game.
tyger runs a ranbat tournament in Orange Park. He also runs HUGE tournaments every other month from there. I hear they are awesome but he schedules them when I already have plans (he is secretly afraid of my Dan)
Finally CEO Jebailey is coming to St. Augustine to host a big tournament at expCon… no firm info on that yet
What days are the orange park tournaments held on? Orange park is a lot closer for me to drive to.

The ceo tournament is supposed to a big one day event at expcon. Ill be there Friday and Saturday tho. Jebailey and tyger are both running the game room all weekend long. If I remember correctly the tournaments are supposed to be brawl, sfivae, tekken, blazblue, mvc3, etc.
Friday is the casuals day for me. Ill be there around 8pm as soon as I get off work and get my badge.
And is anybody going to the atlanta tournament next month? I want to go. And you know what that means. I just do not want to fly AND pay for hotel by myself lol.
