I want to guage interest for an event for October 30th @ Hammer Hall. Kind of a Halloween themed event.
The usual set of tournament games: AE, MVC , MK9, T6, BBCS
Special Halloween themed games: Vampire Savior and a mystery game!
Hopefully we can start sooner also and / or have the whole venue.

If you want I can make sure to bring up a full computer so I can run VS arcade version on an actual full sized monitor. It’d be a pain but for a special occasion that’d be pretty cool. I think I’ll be back in Jax by then. I could also have a super surprise game on there as well after the VS tournie.

My lappy has HDMI so if you tell me how to get the um a “evaluation copy” we can have at least 2 systems up. Isn’t Darkstalkers 3 on the PS the same thing, or no. Wikipedia doesnt help.
No. None of them are anywhere near as “correct” as the arcade versions. The closest is supposedly the Saturn version with the RAM cartridge followed by the PS2 compilation with the dipswitches followed by the DC with the dipswitches.
Either way none of those are the real deal when it comes to frames.
The bigger problem with PS2 though is… what arcade sticks are we using? I doubt anyone has any anymore. I cannibalized our two after 3sOE came out since that was the only game I still played PS2 for.
I’d say roll PC because sticks from both consoles work on those.
I bought the Saturn version, but would probably need the ram cart, so essentially I have a coaster.

I know that Jacksonville is about 2 to 3 hours away but Charleston finnally has a venue to host bi weekly tournaments. I hope maybe one day we can see yall guys make it out. The tournament we got going on is like 9/11 and are next is on 9/25 since its bi weekly.
Ah man an SC tournament sounds really cool. I might have to convince my buds to roll up there one of these weekends.

Don’t the VGA/DVI adapters create lag/delay issues? If so I can bring up my full PC instead like I was saying. It’s a pain but I’d be willing to do it for a special occasion and to let everyone preview a new game I’m excited about.
