Not making excuses but i felt like on the asus monitors my execution was extremely bad. Did anyone else run into this problem when they first played onthem? My execution isnt 100% but i purposefully didnt pick bison because i tried him during casuals and couldnt hit c.lk x 3 which i hit religiously at home. Should i invest in one to get used to it?
The EVO monitors are FGC standard nowadays. Its tournament standard, and we are blessed to have them ~ 8 for tournaments in our neck of the woods. Its ~ 160 after rebate on newegg/amazon, but you can find it for ~ 140 after rebate often.
It definately takes some getting used to but its helped my execution not only on FG’s but FPS, there is a difference and once you get used to it will help your game
Oh ok. Yeah i definitely felt a huge difference. Im certain it would have made a big difference had i had ANY experience on them. I started thinking to myself that maybe my execution is just off. But i heard a number of people say the same thing thats why i asked. Thanks sying

Yeah its just i went into it feeling prepared and never thought of running into that problem. I felt like i couldnt hit any links with any of my characters. I know im a better player than that lol. Oh well…get the monitor and start prepping for the next one. Just another obstacle i have to conquer 
same. i dont have an evo monitor too. and i can’t get one either way because my xbox does not have an HDMI port. does anyone know an equivalent to the monitor but for composite cables?

@Xav: Just get an Asus monitor and get the VGA cable for the Xbox and plug that into the monitor. That’s what I do, works just fine.
@Tyger: Are you going to post the details for your Ranbats in this thread? I do not do facebook, and am trying to keep it that way.
They start 6pm Thursday every Thursday for 8 weeks. $5 venue $5 per game.
You can pay 25 for the venue fee for all 8 weeks in advance.
Points are issued for top places.
Then there are larger payouts for finals obv.
There are weekly payouts as well.
Please bring some consoles.
Mm’s encouraged.

How many points are issued for top places? How many points for the lower places?
What is the percent split for the individual tournament? what about final standing payouts?
How much of the buy in will be put towards final ranking payouts vs. weekly payouts?
Will there be ranked seeding after a week or two when points have accumulated?
1st - 10
2nd - 7
3rd - 5
4th - 3
5th - 2
7th - 1
60% paid out same week. 40% will be put aside for season payout.
50% 1st
25% 2nd
15% 3rd
5% 4th - 6th.

Apparently that one works and has no lag. It was reviewed on the site here too in some thread. Seems to be pretty solid.

@ HH Sundays @ 5. Similar details although the points are awarded closer 7/5/3/2/.5 and payouts are payed to 1st to 3rd. Also there is raffle prizes just for showing up that include stick mods and a TE stick. Details in my sig and in the tournaments and events listing for non facebook using folks 
These numbers would make sense if there were 50+ entrants. For weekly ranbats in Jacksonville, I’m guessing there will be 10-20 entrants
60/30/10 makes more sense imo
edit: I just realized u were talking about the payout at the end of the season so I take that back. My bad. Thought u were talking about the weekly payout

Thanks all for coming out. Smaller turnout since there was just a tournament yesterday but it was a good practice session anyway. Nice to play new people so often these days.
Good shit to beast, private joker, and Jeff. Beast you have definitely improved your blanka game. And i think i played joker at casuals saturday but nice play sir and i promise to give a better bison showing next time lol. My rose still needs improvement but im taking the necessary steps to get there. Jeff…that shit was just unfair lol. I felt like i got closer and closer each time but then id fuck it all up haha.
