There had been unofficial rumors and hearsay, but Fox just released an official date for the film.

No news other than the release date.

**For good or ill, there will be three FOX X-flicks now in 2016:

Deadpool - Feb 12
Xmen Apocalypse - May 26

Gambit in Oct 7**

For reference, Marvel has Cap 3 and Dr Strange for 2016. DC/WB has Suicide Squad and Bats vs Supes.

IIRC, Fox has released no more than 1 marvel comic film /year except for 2003 with X2 and Daredevil.

Had no problem with Kitsch being Gambit, but Tatum as Gambit…

Let’s just say, day one of this movie and the seats are all gonna be filled with wet, teenage girls that no nothing of X-Men. Just watch…

It will be like the movie maverick with gambit in it playing strip poker. Hell they should have done magic mike and the x-men.

Call me optimistic, but this actually might work. Tatum isn’t really terrible, and he is capable of doing more than just his usual goofy-dork role. Very interested to see how this turns out from the initial previews.

Casting Call for Gambit…

Obviously the character names are fake, but from the descriptions, perhaps the thieves and assassins guild will play some part.

My guesses:

Louis - Sinister
Vera - Belladonna
Nonna - Candra

The only way this movie wont be terrible is if Gambit flies offscreen whenever he gets the life lead in a fight.
