I hate the fact that the manga is still running, it kills any incentive for me to read it since I’m already addicted to other mangas.
If you want to know when the guy at zomgfta will release the scanlation, it’s pretty safe to double the estimated time he gives.

i heard the manga is not as fun to read as the anime is too watch. basically it has the shawshank redemption effect.

Forget what u were told about FMA, and just watch the anime, then read the manga. Or just read the manga and forget the anime ever existed.
Trust me if ur looking for a manga with some good action, humor and mystery, FMA has it.

I don’t know, it’s hard for a manga version of a series to match the anime versions (to me) because of one thing:
Music.
The music in FMA was pretty strong and really helped pull at your emotions during those certain moments - like when Ed and Al are discussing what they’re going to do after their mother is dead; it’s hard to imagine a manga pulling at me the same way
While the anime may have it’s share of great music, the manga does better by reducing the emo-ness and giving a more darker plot. In addition to some badass characters.

Other than that, considering how badly it strayed from the manga, FMA was a damn fucking fine anime.
I mean seriously, the last couple of episodes felt like something they put together overnight.
The earlier parts of the series though? amazing.
All I’ve seen is the anime. Need to check out the manga though.
