I forgot about the coal mine. The train is definitely skippable, but the coal mine…if nothing else, Loki needs to be introduced somehow, so I dunno how they’re going to do that.
Speaking of which, the scanlations of the manga has Ed (not realizing what happened or who she is/was yet) listening to her repeat his name until she can say it without a noticable pause between syllables, then she says “mi-s-teh”…why does that tip Ed off? What does it mean?
Well i just finished the Mange up to Mustang rippin Envy a new one. I see what you guys mean about Envy being a little bitch. Like the only fight he won in the whole Manga so far was the one with Hughes…And that hardly counts.
Oh and daaaaamn I would NEVER piss Mustang off. Holy shit. The man is hard core.
I think the in the scan i read he was tipped off when she asked him to play. What chapter was it? I’ll check.
It probably makes more sense in Japanese. I have the original book somewhere in my apt but I’m too lazy to look for it. The ep on Sunday will probably shed light on it.
Seems like it’s almost the same, if more emotional, as the first series - especially when it came to the confrontation between Ed and Shou after the latter did his heinous act.
I thought Scar’s new voice sounded pretty decent, too. Looks like next week it’ll be the faceoff with him, which’ll be pretty action intensive.
I really liked this episode to. It did stick pretty close to the Manga while only adding a few things and cutting a few things. I love they added the fight with Scar and Basque Grand. That was bad ass. I wished they had left in Als moment of tellin Tucker off. Also they removed Riza’s diologue at the end and softend Mustangs line to Ed which was kind of a bummer to but over all the episode was pure win. I loved it. I gotta say though even when you know it’s coming it still hurts the heart. Tuckers a dirt bag.
I figured Mustang would be like “So how was your trip here?”
And then Ed would say “There were some little bumps along the way, but it was pretty smooth” something like that, and show a funny clip of Loki getting put in his place.
I’ll have to watch the episode tonight. I can’t wait to get depressed.
So…I’m on board with the FMA train…I enjoyed the original series and was looking forward to the remake. Plus I’m reading up on the manga from the beginning for comparisons. So far I’m digging how close to the manga they’re making the second series so far, I never realized how different some of the events took place in the first one.
