They write people up at my job who do that. You HAVE to get approval before making arrangements, because if they really wanted to, they could just say ‘No, you didn’t get approval for the time off.’ and fuck you over.

That’s why I got my approved time off, then got insurance on my flight so I could get a refund incase they try to fuck me, I won’t be out $250.

Ratt, I don’t believe you can pay at the day of the tournaments:

All participants must register online in advance of the tournament date. See the schedule for more details.
Entry into the tournament after the registration period expires is generally not allowed, but may be accepted at the discretion of the Director.
Entry fees are non-refundable.

Thanks for the info Airthrow that was very helpful. It’s kinda confusing though because the schedule is not going to be released until a week prior to Evo. So I guess once the schedule is released it will further detail the last day you can enter the tournaments, then which I will have an exact date to decide by. “I think”

Awesome, so my work randomly changed the amount of notice I’m supposed to give them for days off, and I have to quit my job to go to evo. That or be fired because “I will be scheduled that monday” pretty much because my boss hates me. They don’t actually need me, but she pretty much just sets me up for failure at any time. Whatever. Fuck this joint, ten hours a week is some bullshit. Dear fucking god I hope I can find a job in July, who needs rent money eh?

That’s fucking HELLA shitty Elias. I’ll talk to my room mate and see if she’s down for house guests for a little while, because I have 2 completely unused rooms upstairs (Literally not being used in the slightest), and if you need to you could probably crash here.

Yeah, well we hate our land lords, they are fucking pricks. We had a hole in the side of our house from when a truck ran into it for over 2 months… Lazy motherfuckers.

My room mate says we may even move to Seattle here in the next 6 months, which would be pretty sick because I’d be moving to Belltown if it happens (about 20 minute walk from GameWorks). If it ends up happening, I’ll be getting drunk at GW every weekend.

Waaaay back in the day I had a job working for Burger King and I didn’t show up for one day of work due to a uber important Tekken Tag tournament. Ahaha, I was fierd over it but it was worth it because I got to hang out with my friends AND I won the tournament! I didn’t not expect to be fired over it, but I knew it was “wrong” to just not show up…but what you are doing is perfectly fine man! I say fuck work and go to Evo, you’re already booked and this Evo wikll be the last great Evo me thinks…

Also, being an individial who is constantly trying to achieve lower-middle class status in Amerikkka…I just wanna say fuck you Capitolism. Ya hearrrd!
