The official Evo 2k9 NW thread. Nobody on dry land can fade the NW

I’m down to bunk as well. My only requirements are that you don’ use the toilet and if you have to, do it sitting down.:nunchuck:

Don’t let me catch you sleeping on your stomach.

 Thing is… I’m too straight edge to make use of much of what Sin City offers. I might spend a small bit of money on the cheapest tables and slots I can find, but I’d be going to Evo for Evo’s sake: competition and social time.

Ah, but even with my current level of skill, Evo 2k9 sounds so good.

I’d be down for rooming with some people. Gives me more money to spend on Sin City’s offerings.

Money_503: Yeah seriously, I am hyped for some Street Fighter, but you also gotta take advantage of the locale.

Kendrik: Straight edge => what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

 So I’ve heard.

Call me old-fashioned or something, but I also have this idea of integrity/consistency. My self-image would be gone if I applied that little slogan. Thanks for the tip anyway.

I wonder if I’d have any chance whatsoever in SFIV since it hasn’t been around (in some form or another) for fifteen years. I could always hope that nobody takes SCIV seriously enough to register for it.

GREAT game line-up with good variety. Only issue is 3S tourny being 2 V2 instead of 3 V 3. Marvel is tba so I can see arcade cabs being a possibility esp. with capcom involvement.

Evo in July is mad gay thou

and somewhere across the united states, another kenny will be in vegas repping the curved edges around the same time, and might not even show up at evo

Is that what you meant to say?

:coffee:

 Close enough.

I want Rob to win SCIV with Asta.

Man evo is about going and trying to beast, but like even if you feel that you’re not good enough you should definately go for the experience. There’s nothing like evo (at least from the 2 I’ve been to).

SamB: man marvel on cabs, it’d be like a fucking dream come true.

And as much as I dislike marvel, I’ll have to enter and send off the game that got me into competitive fightin games a respectful farewell.

Noted. I’ll have to keep an eye on airfare and room costs.

The thought of only doing your best is why people lose. Thinking Imma fuck this nigga up is what is more suitable for people in the Nw.

The past few weeks people from portland have had the urge that they’ll be attending evo so it looks like a good amount of people are going.

Kendrik Something also to think about, I don’t know if you been to Preppy’s, but at least if you go know, you won’t get overwhelmed the next time when your “ready”.

I’m coming! with a few friends also. Woot Woot!

Arcade cabs are absolutely utterly not a possibility at all. At all. Promise. Sorry.

Brought to you by Capcom and GameStop: that’s also pretty cool to me.

wai u racist?

i’m probably not going.

fuck paying to lose.

shiiit.

I’m too simple to be very interested in “doing my best.” If my best doesn’t net me victory, then I may as well not have tried. If I want to enter a competition, I’m going to do so with the intent of winning. Because I know my skills aren’t “there” yet, I said I don’t think I’d be ready for this year. We’ll see, though. Maybe I’ll feel better about my skills when I’m starting SFIV at the same time as many others.

But I agree with your sentiment. Gotta approach any competition with the mindset of domination… not “doing your best” or “having fun.”

I’ve not been to Preppy’s. Needs to happen. It’s just a ways away (200 miles or something, I think). If some P-Town people are getting in on that with carpool room, I’ll have to check into it. Thanks for the tip.

I’d rather crush one persons spirit than beat 10 people by a small margin, thats my word.

Ken straight ruthless. Bring me some 5 guys at evo
