Damn right. Paul n I did our jobs well since now you might be going. good shit. be there.
Haha, yes you two did. The two stipulations that are preventing me are: Work giving me the Time Off, and a hotel room to crash (bed floor, doesn’t matter to me).
Is there a fee to get into the center to watch the matches? I may or may not be driving around the country and may or may not be in the Las Vegas area at the time of Evo and may or may not drop in to check it out assuming I don’t have to pay.
We got you covered man, stay in our room.
It’s free to watch.
As long as that’s fine with whoever is paying for the room/room mates in the room currently. I’m not a smelly guy, so hopefully that goes for brownie points.
Well, if it’s cool to stay there, all I have to do is look at the calendar at work and make sure no one else has those days off and I should be right on the make this.
I’ve been thinking, and I don’t think I like SF4 enough to warrant the amount of cash I have to shell out to go. It doesn’t help that I’m already going crazy about being close to 21 but not allowed to drink… I’ll be in fucking vegas, too. Less than two months from my birthday.
I completely agree. 2 of the most popular things in Vegas and you will only be able to do one if Alcohol is not being served.
The easiest answer to this problem:
get faded in the hotel room.
Shouldn’t be a problem. One of the reasons I’m building this actually useful list is so that I have the correct/full list of who’s going. People who don’t have flights booked, for example, are probably not going.
Once I have the full(er) list of who’s going, I can adjust the reserved rooms I have, which shouldn’t be a problem. I’ll likely be adjusting that this week.
Just bought tickets. I arrive in Vegas at 3:25 PM on Thursday.
Yeah but why pay hundreds of dollars that I don’t have to go be a be getting drunk in a hot & muggy hotel room? That’s that much more liquor I could have to be getting faded here at home, lol. I’m not saying that I don’t want to go to vegas only because I can’t drink, it’s just one of the factors. I might change my mind, but I don’t know. Pretty fucking broke. I won’t even have enough money for rent this month.
point taken.
I am kinda just whiney today, though. I do wanna go, I’m just trying to weigh out the pros & cons as well as look at things realistically. If I can land a new job soon (and one that I can get the time off from) then I’d like to go. I’m sure I’d have fun… but if I don’t get some real income soon…
cool thanks a lot dude
no problem
Question: Should i even bring my stick, seeing as Evo is on PS3 and I only have a 360 stick. Are they providing sticks/controllers or am I SOL?
I am bringing BOTH my TE’s so you can borrow one from me eh?
You are the man. I’ll be SUPER mad if I don’t get my PTO approved for Evo now.
I gotta talk to Noland about his group, I’ll probably be jumping on board the same flight they are so maybe we can work out some carpooling arrangements to n fro the airport(s).
Guess who got time off from work on the coincidental dates of July 16th - July 20th?
