Arcade Sticks for Sale!!!
I was pretty active on these forums back a couple months ago when we were building sticks. I’m sure a lot of you have seen my website with the finished products: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/jdpyle1/arcade_sticks.htm
We’re thinking of building a new batch of sticks for ourselves with some additional friends joining in, but we would need to have our current creations sold to undertake rebuilding. What I want is to get a feel for interest on purchasing our sticks. Outright sales would be easiest, but I’d consider Ebay as well. The arcade stick itself would go for $250 with interface boxes varying - Saturn $55, Dreamcast $55, PS/PS2 $70, and Xbox $80.
Drop me a message if you are seriously interested. Let me know which stick and what interface box sets you would like. I’ll take a look at the responses and we’ll decide when/if/how we would intend to sell. Thanks.

I can build the box and everything.mount the stick and add the buttons but you have to interface to that “neogeo home system” yourself…whatever that is.
I have no way of testing because I dont have the neogoe home system.
Is that good enough…can you do the rest?

That sounds like a good idea. How much would it cost for one joystick including labor and shipping. Since it is just the box, I dont think it should cost all that much. Also, how long will it take you to do just the box. I’m looking for regular joystick like massystems and 4 buttons like this set up. oh yea, I also need a start and select button…so make that six buttons

um, sorry to sound like a idiot but how do I check my PM? I’m new to this website
Mike
Nevermind, i found out how to check PM. Anyways, is it possible to send you guys a neo geo controller for you to solder it for me? I know you guys dont have a system to test it out so this option might cause a problem? any alternatives? I really dont know anything about soldering or anything pertains with electical stuff
Mike
hey guys, since no one answered my other question, i’ve got another,
What’s a PCB? i need to find the power source for my 360 joystick and one site says i get it from the pcb, but i don’t know what that is. any help?
 printed circuit board (pcb) aka then controller board inside.
pic of my ghetto ass joystick…they are P360’s w/competition buttons…
edit* scroll down a little…i had to crop some of the pic.
@vinny’s stick  very inguetive. I remember you told me on irc that you must make your sticks out of stuff you find in your garage. Isn’t the shaft of the sticks a little short? what kind of wood did you use for the top? looks like metal.
btw accord that layout you wanted is just like a japanese stick layout w/o the 2 bottom right buttons right?
check the attachment
the shaft to the sticks are a little short but this is what i’m using just for now…that top board is not metal, it’s actually the best board i used on a joystick…i will replace it soon though.
Does anyone have templates of solder points of a ‘Super Sonic’ brand & a standard DC pad? I can figure out a few of them, but others I can’t tell where it is. Thanks.
man, you seriously need to do some research:lol: …you’re building a stick from scratch and installing a p360? do some reading because you’re going to have a lot of problems if your first question is “whats a pcb?”
i can allready see your next 5 questions posted on here…
*
1-whats a quick disconnect?
2-how do i solder?
3-whats a ground?
4-what size wire do i use?
5-where can i get graphics for my stick?

Very well put…
as for the question…just study the guildes people have all over the net.
Although I dont know how you are actually gonna be doin this if you didnt know what a PCB was :bluu: .
OK im gonna use a normal Sega Dreamcast Controller to make my sticks. this is my question.
Ok ive been looking around and i got this soldering template from a site

hey man, don’t hate:p anywho, i was just askin for clairification, i got a friend who’s a tech geek who says he knows all about it, all i need is the parts, but i wanna know what’s going on too.
not a stick question but for those who sell your sticks. what type shipping do you prefer to use? usps? or ups. what size box do you use, because the smallest ups has that’ll fit a stick is 18x12x12, thats a little too tall.
