I got a question. I have this 3rd party DC pad, ‘Dream Shock’ and I was wonderin if it was possible to use it. I’m pretty new at this, and was wondering if anyone has experience using this thing or know of any template I can look at. Dunno, but it seems to me that the connections are either too small, or nonexistent. Well, thanks.
need harder or tighter springs for ultimate joytick!
please help! i have 2 ultimate joytsicks and i want to replace the standard soft spring to a more tighter or harder spring. for those of you who have done this already can i have some suggestions, exact part numbers and the place where you got them.
i have searched for the springs at happ website but there are like 20 different kinds of springs available.
thank you!

I have two(2) hard springs for joysticks (ultimates/competitions/p360) they all use the same standard springs. I don’t use them anymore and they just sit in one of my happ zip bags in my stick making kit. They’re like brand new, but anyway… I’ll get the part numbers for you soon. I have to look for the paperwork they sent it in with or I can just look it up in my order history on the site.

Here’s a stupid question:
Where do you guys get your Insulated Quick Disconnects? The local hardware stores, Lowes, Home Depot, and Radio Shack all have them, but like 2 of 5 different sizes. Where can I get some for 22 Gauge with all the same sizes?
heres a stupid answer:
i used to get my quick dc’s at home depot…the box was like $6 for 100 pieces…then they stopped carrying them…which meant i had another f’ing errand to run…you can find boxes of them at your local pep boys, auto zone, pretty much an automotive store…get the red females #18-22 gauge wire…
one more thing thats not quite notable but i have to add to my stupid answer…some stores sell them cheaper than others…you might try shopping around:lol: or something…they f’ing charge like 2.50 for 10 pieces or some shit…sooooooo, buy the big boxes…
SHORT ANSWER:auto zone and pep boys
Good thing I haven’t bought my supplies yet…
I completely forgot to check Home Depot and other places
around here. And here I was about to spend $1.70 for about
6 pieces… What’s the average number of quick d/c’s do you
need anyway?
BTW, how’s my order coming along SNAAAKE?
What type of scews do most of you use to secure the plexi/lexan over your image/stick. What size plexi/lexan do you guys recommend (thickness) so that the sheet won’t crack where the holes are at when I tighten the scews/bolts?
Yours is done except I am not home right now…get you those pics once I am there.
As for connectors…you REALLY dont need any…its just extra hassle.you can just solder the wires.
Crimping and shit is just waste of time. (thats just me)
Avoid plexi if you are new and get lexan.
1/8 thickness is fine.
As for bolts…can not remember what the size is but go to ace hardware and they have MANY size and you will figure out yourself.
anyone ever thought of mounting a 360 on the sega dreamcast agetec joystick? any drawbacks to that? like size of the 360 and such?
or how about the redoctane joystick for the psx, has anyone got theirs and thought about mounting a 360 on there if possible?
thanks in advance.
Crimping makes troubleshooting easy as cake. That is, if something goes wrong. It also makes revisions easier, but to each their own.
Here is a link to buy a box of 100 from an online store. (Everyone bookmark it, because it seems that I post it every few weeks.)

Otherwise, Autozone has boxes of .187 quick disconnects.
yeah kind of…here is another link to quick disconnects.
I bought from him before…VERY good seller.
I am wondering if anybody can make a joystick for neo geo home game system for me? I need something that is sturdy like the arcade joysticks. I wish I can make my own, but I just dont have the right tools, and the faqs on making a joystick just makes me dizzy. I just contacted massystems, they said they dont make it anymore with the 4 button (straight) layout. Any help will be appriated. Since this is a special request, I will pay above normal price for the joystick.
Things I’m looking for.
Thanks in advance
Mike
Who all here is going to EVO 2003, and if you are (stick builders), do you plan at all to enter that custom stick contest? I probably won’t be able to make it, but it would have been nice to enter it. SNAAAKE: How about you? You going to EVO2k3?
whoaaa snake, did your thread get deleted??? I can’t find it anymore.
its too far from me…however this stick might win…
no?

what you win if you actually go and win?:bluu:
I dunno man
I deleted the first one on purpose then created a clean thread without AlklineX bitching about mass but then someone else deleted the second one as well. :lame:
I dont even care…I got enough to build like around 4 more then thats it…will “try” to sell those 4.
Now why would anyone delete the thread?
Hey SNAAAKE,
Your work is top notch. I was wondering if you would be interested in building me a single player box? I would like a lexan top with a cool marquee collage like the link above.
I need it for Xbox and I have the guts and parts already. All I need is the box pre-drilled and ready to install the hacked Reflex.
If you have the time, what prcie range would we be talking about?
i have a cabinet and the buttons and joysticks rest upon a layer of plastic (i think its called plexi glass?) and underneath the glass is a flat metal piece. the problem i have is that they make too much noise. i dont have anything in between the plastic and the flat metal piece like the drawings you guys have on your sticks but im planning to. i guess my question is that when i do put the image in between the plastic and the metal, will it(the image) reduce the noise made by the buttons when pressed? any suggestions?
sorry if my descriptions are vague. thanks alot!
