SNAAAKE: Where the hell do you find the time to make all those sticks!! Anyways, I appreciate all the support and helpful advice that you lend to this tread and helping it stay alive, and that goes for everyone else who has chipped in. We all may not agree on certain things, or have different ways of doing things or different recommendations due to preferences, but at least the newbies get all the info they need.
P.S. DON’T GET MARRIED OR HAVE CHILDREN!! You’ll end up staying up after the fam are asleep to catch up on practice and finishing games. Even if you do have work in the next 3-5 hours!!
OH I do em quick…
most of them from last year(summer).
Not for money(well…) but fun:D .
You know whats funny?
you thought I was chuck(mamestation)
bow down to SNAAKE
man you must have a routine for making the stick by now because it’s tedius for me. The part i hate the most is drilling the holes and sanding the edges so it won’t look liek ass when painted.
Sort of…I dont waste time:)
Like cut, drill, finish box all in the same day and wiring second day and you have it !
Drilling isnt that fun…wood is fine though BUT plexi…OUCH    .
always cracks when you are drilling the last hole .
as for painting, you can prime the sides first then spray paint…that looks good(and easy).
about p360s. does anyone know how to find the 5v point on a pad to use with a p360?? how would you test it out other than wiring it to the p360 and see if it works. And the ground wire can it be off of a pad that only has one ground? or does it need to be on a pad like the dc astropad with separate ground for directions and action buttons??
Hey donaldducktm great to hear that it works man, congratulations!!! Hope you have fun. As for D Strange, it depends man. What system are you wiring the pad for? All I have to say is that comps with all pads cause they are just the kind that solder to the points. With the p360s you need to get pads that have a 5v on them because they need power to work. Some DC pads have this and I am pretty sure that all PSX/PS2 analog dualshock pads have them. I know that the Madcatz DC pads have them just to let you know. Hope this helps.
Also if you are considering on buying a MAS that has a comp or a p360 I have one that I need to get rid of. Works on PS2/DC. Just IM me and let me know. Thanx.
Thanks, man. I’m doing it for the PS2, I don’t mind the work or money or nothing. It ain’t nothin to a baller, baby. I just wanted to know if a p360 or a comp would work better for CVS2. Thanks again, mein.
i just peeped out snake’s site lol looks like you got waxed by kinkos too.
damn I hate that place, especially when I make button labels and it won’t align because my picture is scaled. Next time ima bring a ruler over there and make sure the print is the right size before bringing it home.
anyone know what i need to buy to put the perfect 360 joystick together? cuz i got it recently in the mail and it says other stuff like a 5 watt energy source or something…help plz
OH YES !
More then onces…they just fucking suck…plain and simple.
Can’t a job done no matter what the odds are.
always either smaller or bigger then how you wanted it.anyhey honestly dont know how to wire up p360.I only did once because someone actually told me where the contact was on a naki pad but it was over a year ago and I cant remember BUT you can always try to use external power source.
I also heard that the “red” wire when you cut open the psx cord works as 5v.
No real experience because I never bothered buying p360(for me anyways) but you can try.
i see, will orange suffice??? theres no red wires, and the red is connected to another wire, i think that’s the ground wire. if this theory is tru then I can get p360 to work with all!!!
i just got a question that’s prolly been answered but i was looking and i gave up so sorry if this has been asked. when you guys have the cool templates over the wood how do you get it? just find an image resize then goto a place and get it printed out? and what do you get it printed out on? thanks in advance
I use high res wallpapers, and blow them up, print them out on regular paper and put a sheet of lexan on top. Some people use photoshop and put all different things in thiers and make it look real cool, I dont have that program, and Im not that great with image editors, so I just do it the easy way. Some people also laminate thier picture, but I dont have a good paper cutter, so I dont do it that way, and I never spill anything on m Ive found that Google or Lycos image search makes it pretty easy to find what you are looking for most of the time, though it took me hours to find a good high res pic of green lantern.
