OH YES YOU CAN! its very nice copper under those babys. just did that myself and anyone could solder those!
What should I use to scrap the carbon of the contats???
dood, are you sure you used the right port…now i’m kinda reluctant to try it. you just blew out the resistor and can be easily replaced. to fix the problem, simply open up your DC and take the controller port out. then if you look closely, you will see a little resistor (blue color). snap that mofo off and replace it with another…preferably a more resistant one. take it to your nearest electronic store and ask around for an F5 10ohm resistor, solder that one on there and voila, a working DC controller port.
ant one: that’s exactly what i’m talking about…not sure if it’s the blue wire for ALL matcatz. i was under the impression that it’s ALWAYS the second to the last wire down, regardless of the color…because on one MC controller, the blue wire is PIN 2, but on the other MC controller, the wire on PIN 2 is black. does it matter?
did you ever get your 360s to work on your SAV sticks anyway? if so, howso after frying your ports 2 times.:bluu:
Your best bet would be to use a multimeter to test. Place one contact on the place you think the 5v is and another on the common ground. I would assume its the same for all pads, but if its a model i havent seen i dont know.Maybe they got the wire colour mixed up in the manufacturing. I know that the dual shocks for psx and ps one are totally different… what kind of mad catz did you get? Also i have a p360 and my wiring came loose while my dc was on. The 5v joint disconnected, and nothing happened. No blown ports.
i have the Dreampad for DC. and regarding the PS2, i have the PS2 (yes not one :D) dual force 2 or dual force 2 PRO…can’t remember which one…but i think it’s the DF 2. any help would be greatly appreciated.
Welll i recently got GGXX but no PSX2 connection for my MAS I was wondering if any of you knew how to add a PS2 connection to a MAS??
What button layout do you guys recommend?
On my MAME cab, I’ve got a normal 6 button, with a 7th “snk” button set below the kicks. Although you can’t really do with for a DC stick, it would be pretty sweet to have.
Unless you’re looking for layouts or some such. Most people just use something that looks like this: control layout
You = smarter than I am
A hundred thanks for telling me which resistors to replace and so on in order to fix my DCs. Most likely saved me at lot of $$.
Pretty much every single stick I’ve wired and put together has 360s now. Everything I’ve learned about electronics however has unfortunately been picked up only through trial and error (ie. what little common sense I can use)… :bluu:
Don’t ask me how I messed up my DC’s in the first place. It was pure idiocy at it’s finest. I’m good now though… I hope…
an exacto knife is best but a screwdriver will do
question?
ok i’m one of those people that like to follow things step by step.
so when i made my custom sticks i use the psx 1000 pad on cd vision page.
i was wondering if there is any adapter that lets you use this psx 1000 pad for xbox? the only playstation to xbox converters i have seen are for dual shock ps controllers only. has anyone tried the magic box one? does that work with any ps controller, or dc for that matter.

I just wanted to make this little announcement:
I will have a tutorial for the MadCatz xbox gamepad online this weekend. This pad is only $19 and should be easy to find. I have it appart in front of me as I type this and from the looks of it this will be an easy hack.
The tutorial will be at:

{Random_MAI} on liksang and buyrite there is a converter that works for PSone and PS2 and works for joysticks, steering wheels ect.
My stick(next to agetec for size reference).
Splits: Very nice stick yo.I wish I has the tools to build me a stick.
It’s all preferance IMO. I have used both and haven’t had a problem with either of the type. You can remove the quick disconnect by ‘wiggling’ that shit loose, don’t try to He-Man that shit out or you’ll pull the wire off the quick disconnect. It happens to me a lot. That or use a screwdriver to ply it off (lift if off)
This is my first time that I am able to get online here in Cali. Wow, this thread hasn’t been dead for a minute last I posted! This is what I wanted, people asking question, people answering, helping each other out and shit. Fuck! I’m learing some new shit by reading about these transistors shit and all. Keep this thread alive with great info and feed back. Thanks.
oh yeah, and splits: Nice ass stick you got there. Agetech replica.
Anyone here can show me a place with diagrams to wire a P360 to xbox? I want to add a perfect 360 to xbox. Mogwai told me that u can run it off the 5 volt lead but my friend doing my stick wanted to know if there were better instructions or pics online.
I’m working on a site right now for wiring a MatCatz gamepad for xbox. I’ve found a constand 5V connection so using a 360 shouldn’t be a problem. I don’t have a 360 though so I can’t confirm it but I’m pretty sure it’ll work.
I’ll be posting here tonight or early tomorrow when the site’s online.

Hey, you guys rules. Rotendo I sent you a PM and asked you a question, but I guess I’ll ask it here along with another question.
-
Is the ASCIIware Playstation joystick easy to wire? I bought one for like $13 today and it’s a temporary one, but I was curious if it was easy to make a Joystick with.
-
I was gonna ask about the Pelican fighter stick. Is that one easy to wire or a no solder wiring one? Please help me out, thanks!
