I’m currently working with the Enforcer stick for dreamcast. I started off by taking off the joystick and the other stuff attached, then I went back and attached my own wires to the points. The problem I am having is that my up and right directions won’t work. My down, left and buttons do work however. Down and left use ground 2 and up and right supposedly use ground1, however they aren’t working with ground1 or 2.

the joystick had a black wire that was running out of it, which I’m assuming was a ground wire, and into (note: not in the same spot as in the picture, was in the lower left, don’t know what patsch is doing there) that small pcb board on the left. Is this board sending a ground out for just the joystick? If so that may explain why I can’t use my current grounds to get up and right to operate correctly. Any suggestions would be helpful at this point

Mogwai Kicks A$$

Thanks for the picture of the original XBOX controller. If the Madcatz doesn’t work, at least we all have something to work off of! I’d quote you on your reponses though I am sure everyone is working off of your stuff! I’ll see you on LIVE! My gamertag is Needle Knife.

Thanks again for the picture of the solder points! Professional!

For the Enforcer board, i ended up using two more grounds. Sorry to be confusing. I didn’t end up using the black wire that was connected to the bottom of the stick.
I have posted a new picture with the directional grounds.

XB wiring schematic

Did u solder to those tiny lil points???

Thanks a lot patsh, I got it up and going now

can u wire a 360 stick

Wico makes a microswitch based joystick conversion kit to 360 – here

Re: XB wiring schematic

Yes, albeit somewhat crappily. Least the tape and wire wraps should keep any of the leads from coming up.

Theyre actually the same size as the points needed for the old xb mods… not too bad.
Def practice on something of similar size before you trash the 30$ pcb.

You can see where I lifted a trace all the way off the board (the taped up wire) I bored out a tiny bit of the hole in the pcb jammed a nicely cut lead down in there, and it works for now :o

Luckily it was the seldom used “Back” button (wtf was M$ thinking?) so if it does come up later, I can just tape it back down, or live without it.

Anyone have a p360 around to test the 5v ??

8 days left… till i get my arse handed to me on Live by most of you hardcore gimps

I don’t wanna say gay or nothing but I love you dude, oh and unicorns kick ass…
PS couldn’t you also scrape away that carbon crap and soldier directly onto the contact points, that would make it a lot easier (thats what I did with my DC conversion) but you usually have to be careful you don’t pull the whole contact out.

I don’t have enough for a mas stick or a x arcade so would you guys recommend making a custom stick? I don’t really want to spend more than $50.

fuck a mas stick custom is the way to go
What system?

PS2. How much do you think it’ll cost?

to Mogwai…

im jockin the corners, whered you get the rubber sides to put on the wood? that shit is like the MAS shit, and how do you apply that?

I’m interested in making one for Xbox.I’m not sure how but I would like to include slots for the meory card and XBL communicator.Right now I have a PS2 Mas with a controller conerter to use for CVS2 EO when it goes live next week.If anybody has any info that could help me get started,I would appreciate it.

Can u wire a p360 with a Madcatz pad??? I bought a Madcatz and I should be gettin’ my p360 soon, so if n-e has a site or advise on directionz it would be much appreciated.

How much is lexan paper??? Is it hard to apply to the wood???

DC BLUE WIRE FOR 360S REGARDLESS???

QUESTION: for the DC pad, is it always the BLUE wire on a Madcatz regardless of the position?

i posted the info for p360 for dc earlier in this thread… like page 5 or something

does it matter what wire i use for making a stick out of a ps2 pad. one place says to use solid and another says to use stranded. i have solid, should i use stranted instead?

oh…how do you remove a quick disconnect? i stuck one on the ground of the cherry switch to test to see if it fit…now i can’t get it off

I recently attempted to convert my mas sticks from competition to 360s. I read about the +5v coming from the blue wire and i got the joysticks to work briefly but now my dreamcast doesn’t even detect controllers. Can I fix this? How do I prevent this from happening again?

Thnx

That’s bad news. Your controller ports are dead. It happens when you touch the power wire for the 360 to ANY metal part aside from the correct place you’re suppose to put it while the stick is still plugged in. Don’t feel bad… I myself have fried two DCs the same way already putting muthaf—ing savsticks together.

There is a way to fix it. But I have no idea how. Has something to do with those little battery thingies on the pcb board for the DC controller ports though. It’s ghetto walmart buy and switch time if you ask me .
