Yes. Read this thread
I have a home grown DC Arcade Stick. I used an ascii fighterpad.
I just added the PS controller to my home grown and now when I go on to my DC my controller on the screen starts moving up and down and no other buttons r responsive.
Can anyone tell me whats going on or give advice for soldering 2 different controllers to the same stick.
hummm
I just posted this a few posts up. Please read through the thread first before asking questions. Anything else not answered here yet, just ask.
how did you wire it?
Okay, I’ll post this again since you probably missed it, a few post up…
Got it this time?
After (before) the links post on the first page…this thread needs a FAQ!
i was just wondering if he made any mistakes. if the picture on the tv moves when he plugs it in, then theres a problem
I think I already know the answer to me question, but I’m a 100% newb when it comes to this stuff, so I’m going to check anyway.
I’ll be ordering parts from Happ, but there are light-up buttons that I like better on Sanwa . It makes no difference and they’ll all work the same, right?
It should. Why not get those big ass light up buttons and use those? “The King Size Stick”! Too bad they don’t also have big ass joysticks.
what are barrier strips and how do i use them? do you have a pic of what they look like. i might go buy some psx controllers after work today.
Ok peeps, im in a pickle. I have a fucked up mas stick. yay. So, ive decided to gut it and resoder all the wires to a Interact Dualshock 2. 2 questions. A- will this work? B- will the perfect 360 require some crazy ish 2 work? Its kinda crazy really, mi mas has fried 3 DC’s, wont work on DC at all anymore, but works on PS fine lol. What a piece o shit. When it worked, it was sweet though. Anyones advice would be appreciated >)
Read the thread. Barrier strips allows you connect wires from one source to another. Think of a T-railroad track if you will (draw a vertical line, then draw a few hashes horizontally down the v. line. Like the laces on a football. Anyway, that’s sort of the small picture to give you an idea. Anyway, you have wires going from source A (pcb) to one end of once hash, then from the other side of the hash, you have another wire going to source B (microswitch) Thus, connecting the two source via the barrier strip. It’s actually called a 6-way, 8-way, or 12-way barrier strips. Meaning that you can make 6-12 connections. There are two types of barrier strips you can buy from Radio Shack. One will be the black barrier strips that has phillip screw heads on top and it’s basically used for fastening down/connecting wires with spade connectors crimped on. Though you don’t need crimped spade connetors to fasten the wires down, you can just screw down the wires bare, but it’s better and preffered to use crimped spaded wires. The other type are the white of barrier strips. They use regular flat tip screw driver screws and you don’t need any type of crimped wires to connect them, you just need to insert the bare wires into the little tube on one end and screw down the screw on top fastening the wire and doing the same to the other side. The black barrier strip will run you more cuz you’ll have to buy spade connecters and they are like $2 something for only a pack of 16, and you’ll need (depending on how long the barrier strip) at least 16, 8 spade connects for one side and another 8 for the other side, then more for the next barrier strip. You’re going to use more than just barrier strip and in the long run, the $ will add up as to how much you spent. That’s why I started going to with the white barrier strips, cheaper, and I don’t need anything else, just screw that shit down! You get it? Sorry for the long unneccessary explanation. Probably confused a lot of people:p
MrSimpson: How did you wired your mas to an Interact Dualshock? Do you mean it the other way around? I might work, if you’re using an enclosure, but I have no idea what you’re talking about, be more specific. Fried 3 DC’s? You sure it didn’t just fried the controller ports? It works fo rthe PS? You using an adaptor/converter or something for that? We need more details please. I have no idea what you’re trying to do except resurrect your mas stick.
Someone asked for a place to buy Japanese arcade parts… a long time ago. The place in my post, Sanwa is a place to get that stuff. People from other sites have been raving about the customer service at this place. Though I haven’t tried them yet, I’ll trust in the words of others and deal with these guys for Japanese parts…in fact, they carry the illumi-buttons that I want.
BUT…the place is in Japan. So be forewarned. Shipping and handling is a bitch.
Rotendo: I havent wired anything up yet, i was asking if it was possible >). It keeps assasinating my DC ports. I was going to take the circuit board out of my masstick, replace it with the board from an interact dualshock, and just solder all my ish back onto it. My question was, do i have to do anything special for the P360 to work? Or just wire it up normally? What do i do with the 5 volt wire coming from the p360?
5v on psx pad
thanks rotendo. i had one more question regarding the ps2 joystick. i’m installing a p360 on my combo stick (DC and ps2). i already know where to get the 5v on the DC, but for the ps2? do i need a dual shock analog controller since i need 5v? my original plan was to use a regular psx pad but it has no analog. so my question would be, is it necessary to use a dual shock analog controller to get the 5v?
edit* i just finish reading though the thread and i read that on the ps pad, it’s the red wire. is this true? can somebody confirm this please? thanks in advance.
As long as it has the rumble feature shit on it, you can connect the 5V wire using the existing one that was for the tiny motor. Use that. If you look for the post in the earlier pages here in this thread (yes it’s in here) you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for. Someone had the same question regarding connect the p360 on a PSX/PS2 pad (5V wire)
It is to my regret to inform you that my DC Ultimate 2 Player J-Stick…is dead:(, but no fear 2 one player joysticks came out of it and i should have pics of them very soon.
That is how you do it? I was wondering? Oh btw why does that work? I would think that it would only send power when it was supposed to rumble? Also do p-360s work with converters? Thats all I need to know thanks.
