 Holy smokes, where did you come across the 3s marquee stuff?

Can you do you have a high-rez scan of that?

my new one

Wow! Someone sure likes 3rd Strike  Hmm… I had that same idea about making my 2 player stick. Looks like I’m going to have to do something different to make it look like I didn’t copy  You have 2 DC’s? Those other two sticks in the background looks nice too. You also have the same wooden table as me!! I use mine to do wood work on now… We have a lot in common… you sure you’re not a spy? I’ll have to kill you if you are!

thanks guys but unfortunately its not mine… i made it for my friend…
yeah i have 3 dc’s. i get them for around 20 bucks american. i only really play 3s…thanks rotendo, this thread is really awesome.

just a quick question:

im trying to open up my shadowblade stick to get a good look at the inside for myself, but i cant seem to get the goddamn thing open. i have removed ALL the visible screws (including the ones in the area where you wrap the cord), but i cant get the plastic to seperate from the casing. i need help before i hurt myself or someone else

I may have found a very good controller to use for the PSX sticks. It’s the Mad Catz Beat Pad. The ground is large, and so are the contact parts on the pcb so soldering would be very easy, but I haven’t tried soldering to it yet as my stuff is at my dad’s, and the contact peices look like lead, but I could be mistaken. But if this works then I may have found the best controller PCB to use. It’s a perfect rectangle. The only down-side, the cost. These things are like $20-25! I will post my results tommorow night on wether or not you can solder to the “lead” points. I have included a diagram, I have no digital camera at my mom’s so I can’t take pics, but tommorow I hopefully will be able to. (Digital Camera is a POS)

i actually just finished another one player for my friend…its the best so far… ill post photos when i have them.

My girl is taking pictures of my stick soon and I will also take a pic of my wiring, I think some of the noobs might like the way I run my wiring. I have a question though, I just finished my second stick and I was wondering, is there a max on how many sticks you can wire?

First one
DC only

Second one
Dc + PS2

Third one
Dc+Ps2+Saturn+PC (is this possible or should I just get coverters?) Is there a downside to converers?

I use a barrier terminal, to make wiring cleaner and easier

Just wondering, a lot of you guys have it so that you can open the stick from the top. Considering that the top is the part that gets the most action, how exactly would one have it so it doesn’t move around? I’d expect hinges + latch to break really quickly…

…or, are all of these photos just preliminary, and everyone just fastens everything together with screws in the end.

My sticks never had a problem with the lid. I don’t even put a latch on em (used velcroe a couple times). Unless your Really rough on the stick it should be fine.

On the bottom of the sticks, try removing the rubber feets. They have screws underneath them. Hope this helps.

J-ride: It’s possible, but you probably don’t want all those wires and pcbs inside your enclosure unless it’s pretty large. I say this cuz the wires need air flow running through them and shit. Also avoids messiness with having that many pcbs inside. I’ve read about wire sizes and heating and shit, and you don’t want to blow a port in any of your systems. For that many systems, it’d be best to go with a pc and PSX/PS2 then a 4 way converter. I have one that converts your PSX/Saturn/PC controller on DC plus a slot for a vmu. It’s really up to you. The less the better I say, but at the max, 3 system connections IMO. PSX/DC/GC or something like that

Sifu: BTW, isn’t Sifu Chinese or something for Master? Anyway, you can have it where the sides are taller than the top (ala MAS designs). I use hinges and magnetic catches to keep it close. I never experienced nor have anyone that has played on my sticks it any problems with the top moving, opening, or anything of the sort. A good design will take care of that. Buy the good stuff too, and use rubber stop/feet on the bottom for added sturdiness on hard surfaces or carperts and etc…

JoshX: Can’t really tell, but will have to wait for the pics to check it out visually.

jus finished my second stick…

LEXAN people… the WAVE of teh FUTAR!

hehe… i treat it like a piece of particle board… this shits as strong as AHNOLD! heh…

any ways… i was thinking… if there are any MAS Stick cloners… ie myself… that are willing to copy or post the BLUEPRINT of the stick, please put it up! im tired of having to borrow my friends MAS stick, and im not gewt wif teh rular…

i always have the problem of the holes being too close or to FAR… it turns up uneven…

will post pics soonar!

Im gonna start building mines when i recieve the moneys.

Im currently selling Games and such, if anyone is interested in a N64 for 25 dollers w/ Hook ups and controllers, you can get one from me.

And I have over 100 Playstation Games, so anyone is interested…

IM me at pnoydatpaquhard

and yeah…thats my rant for tonight…

jus finished my second stick…

Yes, Lexan is ni-ccccccce! Although I have yet to use it, but I’ve seen and came close to buying a sheet, but my wallet denied me and said go with the cheaper stuff and the cheaper shit laughed at me when it ended up cracking when I was tightening down the carriage bolts at every corner! Thats what I get for buying such a thin and cheap sheet of plexi, but anyway…

I think I remember seeing some MAS stick cloned designs in some pics here that someone put up in the earlier posts of this thread. Can’t tell you what page or anything. Sorry…

Get a good ruler, like a metal yard stick from Wal-mart or those retractable ones with all the measurements, like 1/8, 3/8, 5/8 3/4 and such on it including the ft.'s and everything. Don’t tell me you’re not good with 24 inches by 10 inches, trace the lines, then saw?

Just a little notice: I’ll be leaving to 29 Palms, CA for my new MOS (military occupation specialty) school for about 2 months starting Feb 1. :frowning: but I’ll be back, I’ll probably be able to post there so go ahead ask questions and it’ll be answer. Probably by someone else of me whenever I can get to a pc.

i had a feeling that there were screws hiding there.

I use lexan on all of my sticks, I gave up break plexi, I am just too rough with it!!! for 25 bucks I bought enough lexan to make 8 single player sticks!!!

Rotendo: Where did you get that fancy converter???

Heres my list Rotendo told me to make.

Competition Joystick

6 pushbuttons

1 pushbutton for P 1

1 Cherry Microswitch

Plexi Glass

2 particle board, 24X24

90 ft awg wires, .22 size

8 Carriage Bolts

Rosin Core Solder-0.5 Oz.

Cool-Grip 30-Watt Soldering Gun

Crimp-On Quick-Disconnects size .187, female

Should I use Lexan with Plexi glass or a particle board?
