Thanks, I paid a little more but I was able to get 100 .110 QD’s today for 11 bucks at Vetco.
Question guys, is the PCB for the Topmax Enforcer for DC solderable? Is there a pic of the solder points somewhere?

Hi guys. I have a question about what buttons and stick to put in. I made the box for my first stick out of 1/2in particle board (I couldn’t find MDF at my neighborhood lowes) What are the easiest parts to use in it? Are the sanwa/seimitsu parts long enough to put in, because from the pictures on Lizard Lick, it doesn’t seem like it. If not, not a big deal. I’m just trying to get some experience at this for the future.
Also, for my next box, I want to make a slim profile box. What type of material (and thickness) do you guys suggest I use?
Hey, I want to make a stick that’s looks like a solid plank without any art on top, but how could I go about mounting the joystick? I want to use a Japanese one.

Ok so obviously some people use the clear buttons to have their art show through the buttons, I am wondering what’s the best way to do that and make it not look like crap? The last pad I made I printed my art at Kinko’s on a laminated and adhesive-backed paper. What are the suggestions for paper to use?
My friend used something called Lamilabel that Kinko’s had. If not, use adhesive vinyl.
I’m trying to mod my DC Agetec stick by replacing the stock pcb with a DualShock one. The reason is that I recently got a PS2 to USB adapter by HVG2 at FRY’S. I tried it on my PS3 and works great. The catch is that I have to turn on the analog manually, and my sticks don’t have a analog button.
I read the tutorials for modding agetec sticks, but I can’t seem to find a place that sells liquid plastic or lexan.
Anybody know where I can find these materials or alternatives?
Any Home Depot or Lowe’s should carry these. If not, try your local hardware store.
Bondo. Used for cars, boats, etc… <well, that would be for repairing and more if you know how to use it, but mostly used for covering unused holes to drill new ones or using plugs. Especially if you are limited on resources and don’t mind recycling your panel.
I’ve actually restored an original SFII panel that was sitting in the back of an arcade I use to frequent that was damaged by a flood and was used many times before by other cabs (4 players games and such) so I covered those other 2 joystick base and holes.
Work really great, but messy.
Here’s something I can’t remember for some reason, and I don’t have any buttons with me right now to test it. Can a Sanwa screw-in be screwed into a .5" board? I think I remember being able to do that, but I’m not sure. I know you can put Sanwa snap-in buttons into a .5" thick board (won’t snap in, but won’t fall out either).
Can anyone recommend a PS3 PCB? I’ve got a VSHG and the “no multiple button press” is driving me insane in SFHD, so I’m going to gut it. I don’t want to use a PS2 PCB and adapter.
It won’t work. The buttons need around 1/4" or less especially if you are using Plexiglas on top.
Yo Dude, did you draw that on the box yourself? That is some cool art and a big case.
hi there,
im planning to build my new arcade stick with an XBOX 360 Controller PCB.
Is there any wiring diagram on the net for the original 360 Controller?
I also heard that the original MS Controller is difficult to use for a custom stick, is that true? I still got 2 MS Controller lying around so of course I would like to use those before I go and try to find some 3rd party Controller.
thanks in advance
great Thread BTW
I’m building my first custom stick this week. I’m using an old PC controller (Nyko Airflow) PCB to save some money. I took out the PCB and it looks pretty simple.
The ground wires are all fat and connected to one another, while the action wires should be slim and individually connected to the chip, right? That’s my only concern; soldering it once I have everything identified should be a piece of cake. I’ll take a pic if nobody knows what I’m talking about.
What size wire does one usually use for this type of project? I’ve got a crap ton of 30AWG here and was wondering if it was to small?
I like 22AWG, 30AWG is really small.
Just a quick question, I wondering if anyone knows the pin outs for a standard 5 pin joystick connector. I ask because I plan on installing a fanta stick in one of the new street fighter 4 te sticks. The sticks come with a 5 pin connector but the fanta doesn’t. Any help would be great.
Great question. I have two (2) TE reserved (PS3) and will be reserving (2) Standard FS for the 360. Got pics of the fanta you’re installing?
